Changing the World
The world poses many problems, especially for the faithful, who, unlike most regular people aim to spread love and peace, not indifference and animosity. There are certain mediums, however, in which one can study these problems, as well as societies in which they occur, and potential solutions. I have always believed in not just fate, but also the uniqueness of the society into which I was born.
I am a Muslim who is also a Christian, and I deeply believe that it is due to this unique and powerful background that further studies could help me understand both myself, as well as the world in which I live, a world that I could make better through learning and my own eventual knowledge.
There are thus many reasons why I want to attend this prestigious university for the purpose of undertaking graduate coursework, and one of the most important reasons for doing so is undoubtedly to better understand and be better qualified to help the society in which I live. Yet another very important reason why I must employ my knowledge and undertake further studies is because I have often deeply longed to understand and be part of a true Christian community. Because of my mother, Christianity has always been part of my world and has always fascinated me; yet I find myself wanting to belong to this group of individuals and understand Christianity more deeply.
From the few studies I have undertaken, I understand the religion to be very complex. In fact, I would venture to say that being a Christian is truly a way of life. A Christian individual must be just and righteous. He or she must always think about others and never hesitate to do the right thing. This concept of Christianity is one that is very similar to certain Muslim tenets, but I believe that Christianity also differentiates itself, and I want to learn how and why.
These statements are, I must admit, debatable. As much as I believe in my childhood knowledge of religion and the responsibilities it implies, I know I have yet much to learn ad this is precisely why I would like to become a graduate student. My background is humble, but I know that my knowledge so far, as well as my unique upbringing could help me further my ideals and attain my ultimate goal of helping to bring peace into a discordant world.
Yet another reason why I feel that my qualifications so far will contribute both to the community as well as to the fantastic reputation of the school is because of my education and experience thus far. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, which I obtained from ____ (name of the University). This degree was a very proud achievement for me, as I had always been interested in the topic and was finally able to master it at a high academic level.
