¶ … charge of this someday! My aunt said, smiling and pointing to the computer. "I know you will be a great success and I totally trust you with our company." had only just moved to the United States from Taiwan when my aunt said this to me. My relatives in America own and operate a successful computer cable company. When I first arrived in the United States I was only a junior in high school and wasn't completely sure about what my future had in store. However, by the time I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to go to college and stay in the United States for a while. Immediately after graduating high school I attended Azusa Pacific, and it was there that my initial interest in economics and business began. When my relatives noticed how enthusiastic I was in that field, they encouraged me to pursue economics as a career path and promised that I would become an integral part of their successful business.
Two years into my studies at Azusa Pacific, I decided to transfer to the University of California, San Diego, from where I graduated this June with a major in economics. Because I am an international student, I cannot work under regular conditions, except as a trainee with my relatives, who have introduced me to their company's operations. When I finally do receive my CPA license I will already me intimately familiar with the company's financial records and operations. Therefore, my personal and professional goals include being able to work as their CPA, helping my relatives' company truly prosper.
In order to do so, however, I will first need my Masters in Accounting from an outstanding university. Once I obtain my degree and my CPA license, my relatives will be able to sponsor me as a full-time employee of their company. I intend to work solely for them for quite a while, dedicating and focusing my skills in the field of accounting. Perhaps in the long run, I will also be able to own my own CPA firm, from which I can also assist other businesses and other accountants thrive.
