Career Goals
My career goals can best be outlined in a format that reveals short, medium, and long-term aspirations. At this point, it might be more helpful to work backwards from the most long-range goal to the shortest-range goal. This reverse progression will help show why each step in my personal plan is necessary in fulfilling my ultimate objectives as a visionary, leader, and entrepreneur.
Upon retirement, I am teaching at least on a part-time basis. I am working in a university in my home country, encouraging Indian students to stay in India rather than sell their talents abroad. By improving the caliber of domestic Indian colleges and universities, I will be helping my country to grow into the future. There will be no need for the rising stars of India to leave when they can receive more rewarding and lucrative careers helping the country of their ancestry.

A monopolist cannot solve such losses by raising its prices. It is conceivable that a monopolist may have no point on the demand curve at which it will turn a profit. Under such circumstances, the monopolist has to simply accept the loss or exit the industry, as raising the price to cover costs will result in a reduction of revenue.
b) a monopolist cannot charge any price it wants. For any product -- even in a monopoly -- there is a point of maximum profit for any point on the demand curve. Above that point, demand falls as consumers switch to a substitute, ration their consumer or simply refuse to consume the product. At this point, a marginal increase in revenue will result in a marginal reduction in profit. For the monopolist, increasing prices simply will not result in increased profits; neither will lowering them. If at this point the…

I tried many things to find my aptitude before discovering my enjoyment and proficiency with economics. In Korea, I was first drawn to the game of golf as a profession. I enjoyed the game very much and had great passion for it, but my skill never quite reached the level I desired. I also became quite proficient at playing the saxophone, and even tried the skill of acting for a time, but though I enjoyed these things, they never seemed to be exactly my aptitude. At first, I considered myself a failure for trying so many things without truly succeeding at any of them. The same was true of my college experience in Korea, as I was denied admission to universities several times. But it was only during my experience of these failures that I found my true aptitude with economics in reading newspapers about financial information for my own…
Arts Degree Contributes to My Career Goals
Opening Paragraph that Reflects on Your Title
The Associate of Arts degree will contribute to my career goals in two ways. Firstly, it will enhance the skills that I use every day in my current job and secondly, it will allow me to pursue a change of career.
Firstly, as defined in most publications, an Associate of Arts degree helps an individual acquire the writing skills, oral communication skills, and critical thinking skills associated with the foundation experiences in the arts and sciences. Even though I have not been in an academic role for over 20 years, I work with these skills every day. This includes activities such as participating in working groups, giving daily briefs and working on time critical projects associated with the Department of Defense. Completing the Associate of Arts degree will help me to acquire and develop these skills…

Ireland has many traditions and everything there moves at a pace that's much slower than Americans expect. Many of the people in that country have very little to call their own but yet they are surprisingly happy. There are always cruel people who would say that the Irish people drink all the time and that's why their happy, but these kinds of comments come from people who don't know the culture and haven't been to the country. The Irish people are happy because they understand that there is value in family and friends and caring for one another, and that value goes far beyond the value of material things. These are the kinds of life lessons that can only be learned first-hand…
Physical Therapy as My Career of Choice
There are a wide range of distinct careers paths one could choose to follow in health care. These include but that are not limited to pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, epidemiology, etc. I chose to pursue physical therapy.
From quite an early age, I have always wanted to work in the health care field. At first, I wanted to be a dentist. I remember one particular night when a toothache I had couldn't let me sleep. Indeed, I still regard that night the worst night of my life. A simple toothache could effectively mess up your day especially when you can't access immediate medical attention. Those who have had issues with their teeth can bear me witness on this. The next morning, I was the first patient at the dentist's office. After the standard procedure of extracting the offending tooth, the pain was…

Although the assignment of specific theory in understanding the leader's behavior clearly demonstrates overlap in theory -- indicating that the leader may employ various degrees of leadership theory in order to achieve the best possible outcomes -- application of concepts such as influence and power also demonstrate a wide breath of applicability and utilization. For instance, my current leader utilizes different forms of power in order to achieve influence with different groups of followers and subordinates. In dealing with his bosses, my boss employs expert power. My boss makes a strong case for change or improvement based on his understanding of his department and the needs of his employees. However, in addressing leaders from other departments, my boss employs both expert and legitimate power. If resources or tools are needed from a different department, my boss makes the request based on a clear, legitimate need and his experience with his…

Psychology on a Medical Radiologist's Career
As a medical radiologist I will most likely find myself working within a hospital environment where I will deal directly with patients. I see dealing with patients as one of the most important parts of my work. My studies of psychology will help me to deal with these patients effectively. My studies of psychology will also help me be aware of my own thinking, with this able to help me work more effectively and cope with work stress. Finally, I will have to work with supervisors, peers, and eventually, my own subordinates. Understanding psychology will help me in managing all of these relationships. These uses of psychology will now be looked at in detail, considering how they will impact on the five areas noted.
A major part of my role as a medical radiologist will be dealing with patients. This will include a wide…
trudged through the mud, which caked up around the soles of my new shoes. The uphill climb wasn't strenuous on the legs, but the afternoon sun zapped every last ounce of my already waning energy; I hadn't eaten a thing all day. James, a realtor with whom I worked regularly at Capital Pacific Homes, told me, "You have got to see this place! It'll blow you away!" As James wasn't normally prone to histrionics, I came with him to visit one of the new homes we had recently placed on the market. It figures, I thought, that we would choose one of the most remote spots in the sun- and saguaro-drenched valley to erect another Green Home.
I had only been working as Marketing Coordinator with Capital Pacific for a few months when I realized how strong the market demand was for ecologically sound, sustainable building practices. Especially in places…

After less than two months, I have seen some noticeable differences: I have more energy during the day, I sleep better at night, I can concentrate more fully and my stamina has improved. I know that working for the CBSA can be a physically-demanding job, but I am confident that I will be able to handle the exertion and stress that comes with it. I handle stress well: exercise is a great way for me to fend it off, and I also practise meditation and deep breathing. One of my biggest frustrations is when I feel that I should know something that I can't remember, thus my commitment to learning more about border security and the laws that govern it. This preparation will benefit me both on and off the job, and will allow me to make a greater contribution to the CBSA.

It is my desire to be one of these leaders, and the case method of instruction at Harvard Business School is instrumental in bringing my leadership capabilities to this level of potential.
Both ESSEC, the graduate business school I attended most recently, and Dauphine University, at which I obtained my real estate Master's degree, are located in France; my employment, despite being for large international firms, has also kept me in my native country. Though I am fully aware of the benefits of a European perspective and position and have a definite appreciation for my cultural heritage and the diversity that France is home to, I am also aware of the limitations that such a singular perspective brings to business leadership potentials and capabilities in our time. Through my many travel experiences, including several to the United States and a month-long journey through some the most undeveloped parts of Mali,…
The capacity of interpreting and using information to create scenarios and, even more important, access to all the latest information in the financial sector (currency exchange rates, declarations by key players on the different markets, announcements made by world leaders etc.) is an important benefit of the job. Imagine that instead of having to go out on the market and obtain relevant information, you find it all on your computer, at a touch, and the only thing you need to do is filter through it, pick out the important things and be able to interpret these correctly.
Further more, despite the fact that there is an incredible responsibility, one of the great advantages is that this responsibility can be interpretable. You make analysis, not decisions and, from this perspective, the responsibility refers only to the correct interpretation of the data and information that has been provided rather than to making…
The "Dutch Test for Conflict-Handling," indentified my personality to have medium 'yielding' conflict style. This is consistent with my articulated belief that agreeability when handling conflicts is required, but not to the point that ethics are ignored. My test results on the "Big Five Personality" test thus support the notion that when handling ethical conflicts solving problems on a personal level and achieving a mutually beneficial solution is ideal. The need to do this in the financial industry today is evident in how many banks must renegotiate mortgages -- no one wants a foreclosure, as this benefits neither the home owner or the bank. Rather, resetting an interest rate so the home owner can stay in the homes but still make payments is the best solution, and this requires a compromise on both sides, ideally without a settlement in court.
A think, given what I have learned about the financial…

"Why a company should hire you as a personnel, operations, deployment manager."
I believe that I would be an excellent candidate for a deployment manager because of my extraordinary combination of experience, education, and acumen. I have been exposed to a variety of high-pressure situations and have always handled myself in a diligent and professional manner. I have experience as a program integrator and deployment manager, a deployment readiness officer and logistical coordinator, a central issue manager, and a deployment mission manger. All of these positions have provided an environment in which I have been able to fine tune many of the skills that are needed to fulfill a personnel, operations, and deployment manager.
I attribute much of the success that I have so far achieved in my career to my self-motivation and military professionalism. The military taught me a lot about maintaining a professional composure through some…
Once I have finished college, I will look for a junior position at an accounting firm. With my accounting job experience and good achievements, I am confident that I have good prospects. Once I have been hired, I will prove myself by delivering an excellent service. My hope is that the firm that hires me will offer advancement opportunities, towards which I will then work.
Once I have about one or two years of experience, it is my aim to start learning what I can about getting my CPA license and starting a business. Once I have my license, I will start a small business while I am still employed. This will ensure that I still have the security of my job income while I work on building my business.
Another challenge I will face in this quest is balancing my career and business choices with family life. While my…

Over the next fifteen years I would like to prepare myself for an upper-management career in a top advertisement firm. By then I will have amassed the requisite skills for such a position, in which I will network and interact with people in any number of business sectors to fulfill their marketing and advertising needs. At a top position of management within a large advertising firm, I will enjoy the perks of a highly stimulating, intense work environment, including a plethora of networking opportunities, lasting business relationships, rewarding contracts, and a relatively high salary.
Before I reach that level of success within a top advertising firm, however, I will first take some primary steps. For example, five years from how I will have completed my undergraduate and…

Career Management: Wal-Mart Overview

Wal-Mart falls into the realm of mega retailers. There is no product or service that Wal-Mart has not considered at one point or another. Besides selling traditional retail products including house-wear, groceries, clothing and furniture, the retailer has branched out and now provides eye-wear, photographic services and pharmacy services. In addition the company is currently expanding into the financial services industry. Wal-Mart is in fact the world's largest company, exceeding companies like General Motors and Exxon Mobile in size and scope.
Wal-Mart is known in the retail world for selling products at a fraction of the costs of other retailers. At Wal-Mart prices are cheap but the product quality is high. The company in fact prides itself on its reputation for selling the best quality products at the lowest product. A consumer can buy the nation's number one brand products for a fraction of…

Especially now, as I stare outside at another bleak New Jersey winter's day, I know that one of the hugest challenges for those who must adapt to new surroundings is to differentiate between adaptation and assimilation, to embrace change without sacrificing core elements of our identity.
Welcoming necessary change once again, I hope to advance my career and further my professional interests in clinical psychology. My Masters Degree in Social Work and my subsequent professional work applying psychological principles toward helping others has prompted me and prepared me to turn my attention toward more theoretical knowledge and inquiry. While I appreciate the groundwork I have already laid as a social worker, I desire to now shift my attention toward active academic and clinical awareness of specific psychological problems. Therefore, with my continual hunger for scientific inquiry and understanding, I am seeking admission into the graduate program in clinical psychology.

Goal Statement for Insert Name
My career mission is to work in a dynamic team-oriented company performing financial analysis and helping to guide key decisions related financial projections that direct capital expenditures. I enjoy the mechanics of small details and insuring compliance to specific budgets, report types and the impact that this type of granularity has on recommendations for major decisions within a company.
My pre-college work experience taught me the differences between customer service, labor, and accounting and finance. The hands-on work I performed in a service industry provided me with an appreciation for customers and the need to efficiently do a good job but this type of career left me without a sense of challenge. Eventually I felt drawn to the back office as I learned that the payments and processing and efficient entry of data surrounding transactions was the lifeblood of the…
career interest is accounting. Accountancy is the process of evaluating the financial information about business entities to users such as the managers of the shareholders (Elliot, & Elliot, 2004). Accountancy falls into three areas: accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing.
I choose accounting since it will give me a solid employment with a lucrative wage and this is what is important to me. I have also learned that it can be fun in the investigative way if I se it as such. The work conditions are fine -- not too tedious and best of all I can structure them at my convenience. I can work either for an institution or be self-employed. Chances for advancement also depend on myself and, best of all, I can find global opportunities in any and every business..

A cursory glance at job market statistics offers a grim picture, leading many to pessimistic conclusions. The United States Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics points out that increasing numbers of young people are graduating from college and entering the job market now, leading to increased competition in many job sectors (1). Likewise, rates of unemployment have been at near-record lows, especially for young men (United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics 1). Baeurlein also points out the problem that many college students have with debt accumulation from student loans, making it difficult for them to get a foothold on their careers. Yet not all graduates are doomed to flounder in the labor market. I am pursuing a career in adult probation and parole. On reason why I am optimistic about my future prospects is that working in corrections is a public service sector job that does…
My notable contributions in this capacity include obtaining investment funding and sponsorships, securing a co-production partnership with Storm 360, a leading West African entertainment company, and forging media partnerships with HiTV, Silverbird TV, NN24, and BusinessDay among others. In addition, I established and implemented overall business objectives of becoming a world-class production and broadcast company offering international broadcast content to strengthen the spirit of enterprise and human development throughout Africa and across the globe. Furthermore, I played an integral role in representing company in key business negotiations.
Further, I also played a pivotal leadership role in winning various team-based tasks, including developing and marketing a new fast-food chicken entree for Chicken Republic, planning and executing a hotel redecoration project at Eko Hotel & Suites, presenting a route to market's strategy for West Africa's largest cell phone provider, Celtel, and formulating a marketing strategy for a new energy drink for Nigeria's…
career in architecture actually began when I was a child, when with wonder-filled eyes I beheld the designs and finished plans both my parents produced. My father is an architect, the principal in his own company. My mother is a painter and the owner of an interior design firm. Both of my parents' passion for their work inspired me to pursue a career along the same path.
Throughout high school and college, I sought personal, academic, and professional means by which to manifest my dreams, such as taking any courses that were relevant to the field. Because of both school and my parents' presence in my life, professional resources were plentiful for me. I have plenty of visual images imprinted my mind as a result, too. Therefore, my eventual decision to pursue architecture in college naturally stemmed from my early experiences and passion for creativity, form, and function.

Smart Goals
My Goals For The Next Five Years
Setting goals: SMART
Setting goals is an important part of moving forward in life. Martin Luther King Jr. once said: "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward." Of course, all of us would like to fly forward and reach our goals easily. But often long-term goals take a great deal of work to achieve, and are the cumulation of a series of short-term goals that are undertaken step-by-step. My ultimate personal goal in life is to be a good mother to my son and to financially as well as personally support him on his journey to becoming a pilot while I pay off my house. My long-term academic goal is to complete my major successfully. I am studying to be…

Commitment to Pursue a Career in Nursing
Commitment, compassion, caring, and concern are the 4C's of nursing, in my view. These attributes are extremely critical in the profession of nursing, as well as in most facets of life, in general (Collins, 2009). A nursing professional's education and training is continuous; it doesn't end after acquiring a bachelor's or associate degree. Continuation of schooling is a personal nursing prerogative. Personally, I am deeply committed to the overall nursing profession and, in particular, to my specialty -- oncology. This, I demonstrate through my goal of lifelong learning. For reinforcing this commitment of mine, I acquired a Master of Nursing degree, which helped expand my knowledge, and ensured a sound grasp of nursing concepts, theories, and frameworks. Through ongoing learning, I have acquired an increased understanding of patients, the way they learn, as well as how I may continue shaping patient education on…

I grew up in China, the oldest of two daughters. My family unit, my gender, and my culture all had strong impacts on the way I have lived my life and on the way I live my life now. Who I am now is a direct reflection of my childhood and family of origin. Both my parents were senior electrical engineers. They are strong and hardworking people with positive attitudes. Our household was democratic in its structure. The children were treated with dignity and respect, and in return we gave a lot of respect to our parents. My mom and dad motivated and encouraged both my sister and me. As a result of the mutual love and respect in the household, my childhood was a happy one. I had enough structure in my life, from school and other activities, to develop a sense of self-discipline. My parents encouraged us…

The choice of one's profession may come about in various ways for different people. There are those who have dreamt of their professions since childhood and worked hard at achieving their dreams. Others though did not arrive at the decision until they reach college and practiced what they have studied for thereafter. Still there are those who never imagined being in a profession they are at but ended up doing so for one reason or another and excelled in the field. Then there are people who have the enviable position of being able to be who they want to be and at the same time have the chance of imparting the knowledge and wisdom they have with the profession they have been practicing. For my part, I can say that I fall in the category of being able to have the profession I…
Career Profile: Investigative Reporter
hether it was reading my younger sister's diary or spying on my crazy neighbors whom I was convinced were axe murders, I have always had a natural calling for being a sleuth. In addition to my voyeuristic ways, I am also interested in current events and politics. As a result of these interests, I am interested in a career as an investigative reporter.
I interviewed Jilda Unruh, an Emmy winning investigative reporter at PLG Channel 10 in Miami, FL, for some inside information on her line of work. As for preparation for the field, she said, " A solid, diverse education is more important than any particular major. Investigative reporting covers such a broad spectrum of topics that one must be comfortable in a variety for subjects." Ms. Unruh did not major in journalism, but said the writing and fact-finding skills taught in most undergraduate programs…

To register, sonographers must pass a series of tests proving mastery of ultrasound procedures.
At the same time, sonographers can also receive special training from a variety of different venues including specialized programs ancillary to nursing coursework. The most common means of achieving the required certification is via a two-year Associates degree program ("Medical Sonographer Career and Job Information"). Coursework in specialized sonography programs includes ethical issues in health care as well as instruction in anatomy and physiology. Moreover, sonographers must prove they are able to life, push and pull heavy equipment and should be in general good health ("So You ant to Be a Sonographer").

The U.S. Marshal Service position involves perhaps more dangerous duties than that of the FBI agent. esponsiblities include locating fugitives, going on lengthy assignments that often involve surveillance and stakeouts. Accordingly, essential skills include patience. It is also noted that agents working for the U.S. Marshal Service should be experienced, organized writers who can efficiently file reports. The video also noted that those with experience in law enforcement stand a greater chance of getting hired.
My qualifications for the U.S. Marshal Service position are similar to my strengths regarding the FBI agent position. I am an accomplished, lucid writer and my strong physical build would assist me when engaged on dangerous assignments. Additionally, my itinerant upbringing makes me uniquely qualified for extended, two-week assignments. Although I do not have experience in law enforcement, I feel my skills in other areas more than compensate for this particular deficit.

Career esearch eport
esearching companies is very important when anyone is considering a future career. The two companies researched here will be Wal-Mart and Target, in order to determine which one (if any) would be the best choice for me to work at based on all the factors that are important.
The purpose of the report is to discuss both Wal-Mart and Target, in order to show that the companies have many similarities and differences to be addressed when I am looking for employment. The scope of the research addresses a SWOT analysis, along with other information about the company.
The majority of the data will come from Marketline documents that provide company and SWOT analysis information. Other data comes from the companies' websites and an article written about Wal-Mart's expansion to other countries.
Target is the preferred company to work for, for a variety of reasons. Those reasons will…

For this reason, contract specialists do not need as rigid a background as, say, a neurologist does. A contract specialist usually develops his or her skills for the job while working for a large organization that engages suppliers in major contractual agreements. Devotion to an organization may precede the decision to become a contract specialist. or, a business student might decide that the communication-oriented nature of contract specialization suits his or her personality. Another person might find that while standard legal careers were disappointing, a career in contract specialization helps bridge the gap between the law, business, and the public sector in ways other occupations cannot possibly do.
Where I Am Now
In relation to the goal of becoming a contract specialist, I am well on my way towards achieving this core career objective. Currently, I am an Army Service member who is becoming familiar with various government-related contractual agreements.…

Career Possibilities for omen in Philosophy
Philosophy is not a hard science requiring that problems be worked out with formulas and centuries-old givens. The American Philosophical Association says that, "Philosophy is a basic field of inquiry. Its range encompasses ideas and issues in every domain of human existence; and its methods apply to problems of an unlimited variety. The major in philosophy can develop not only philosophical skills and sophistications but also intellectual abilities that are readily applicable to pursuits in everyday social and personal life."
The options open to women in philosophy are nearly endless. Because the study of philosophy develops critical thinking and analytical skills, it provides a background for careers requiring problem-solving, along with the ability to view issues from other perspectives and develop logical arguments with a sensitivity to the values of others. Philosophy can be the starting point for any number of careers. This is…

One of the most unique performances of Karloff's career was narrating the Dr. Seues cartoon "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
In his personal life, Karloff enjoyed playing Cricket, and was actually quite good at it. Karloff was the coach of the UCLA cricket team. He also liked to hike. His wife was not an actress, and they had one daughter together, Sara Jane born in 1938. Karloff was kind-spiritied and generous, donating large amounts of money to charities for children. He was also a charter member of the Screen Actor's Guild, and was quite active in the movement to get safer working conditions for movie actors in the 1930s. After many successful films, he returned to theatrical acting on roadway in 1942, when he starred in the first production of "Arsenic and Old Lace." He also appeared in live performances of "The Linden Tree" and "Peter Pan," in 1951, and…

Career Goals
Please discuss how you plan to achieve your short-term and long-term career goals. What challenges will you face and how will you leverage your professional and academic experiences to achieve these goals?
My very first short-term goal is to secure an admission into graduate school for a master in finance program, where I intend to enhance my current knowledge and build professional networks that will steer me to a supervisory position in the Structured Finance Group of an established financial institution such as Latham & Watkins or Sandler & O'Neill. I look forth to supervising a group of between 5 and 8 by the end of my degree program. This will not only give me an opportunity to market my skills within the company and beyond, but will also be a door-opener for the realization of my middle-term goal, which is to be the leader of the structured…
I am particularly interested in the students who have challenges, either educationally or behaviorally. I feel that by working to develop new assessment tools it will be possible to further evaluate the skills and abilities for these students which may previously have been unavailable to us. I look forward to working with teachers, parents and students in order to formulate tools which will help students get the most out school.
Educational psychology is an excellent career move for me. I have experience working with children who have autism, high school students, and my personality seemed to be a good fit in what can be a challenging and rewarding environment. I think my current education and work experience melds nicely into my hopes to work in a research capacity, designing evaluations, analyzing and interpreting data and presenting coherent results. While I do not consider myself a linear thinking, I believe that…

Motivation for Career Change
Over time, the manner in which different people define success tends to change, and this has certainly been the case with me. Despite the challenges that are involved, I have become highly motivated to make a change in my career that will help fulfill my revised definition of personal and professional success. In this regard, for the past several years, I have been studying clinical medicine and successfully completed my bachelor's degree at Yunyang Medical College in this program of study in mid-2008. Following the completion of my bachelor's degree at Yunyang Medical College, I was employed as an intern at the Weifang Maternal and Child Health Hospital where I gained valuable practical experience in hospital paper-based and computerized administration as well as various treatment protocols. While I found these healthcare experiences to be illuminating and fulfilling, there was something missing. As a result, I came…

I am student majoring in science at the University of Phoenix. Upon my graduation I would like to use my skills to make a different in the communities that I serve and also in my home community. These are the main factors that I will consider during the period of advancing my career. My career development will be guided by several goals each of them will take varying periods to achieve.
However the most important of all is for be to make an impact for humanity over the period that I will be working in the health sector. I have made several consideration and also put in mind that I will first have to start at a particular point and slowly progress through my career to become a highly qualified and successful person in the health care sector will I believe will also be essential for…

family influenced your career direction in both subtle and direct ways?
My grandparents, parents and siblings have all influenced my career direction in direct and indirect (but sometimes not so subtle) ways. For instance, my paternal grandfather always insisted that I should attend college and "make something of myself" because he never had the opportunity. Likewise, my maternal grandmother consistently encouraged me to pursue a career in art because I liked to draw and once drew a picture when I was 10 years old that looked vaguely like her (she still has it framed and hung on her bedroom wall). My father is adamant that I should become some type of professional ("It doesn't matter what kind, just learn how to do something people will pay you a lot of money to do"). In addition, my older brother (a certified public accountant with an insurance company) has encouraged me to…
Military Career as a Single Mom
Few challenges are as difficult as those faced by a single mother. These women have to juggle their careers, studies, or personal pursuits with the continuous and selfless care of her children and their needs. Often, this entails such a person denying herself to provide for her children. Without a partner to help, time and money can both be very constrained. In my case, many may consider my decision to pursue a military career even while I am a single mom as a little crazy, at the very least. However, this is an important decision I have made both for myself and my children. It has affected my life in important ways, including the way I feel about myself, the way I care for my children, and the outlook I have on the future.
My decision to pursue a military career has significantly affected…
education essential to my success. Since returning to school at XXX College of XXX, I have worked very hard to not only learn all I could from the courses, but to apply my knowledge to my professional life. Because my profession is in the financial industry, I believe that the degree program in Management Studies will be very helpful.
Unfortunately, I had to leave school because I was no longer able to afford tuition. I went into the workforce so that I could earn money for college and reflect on what I wanted from my university experience. I was very shy and reserved in my early college years and found it difficult to find my way in large universities. Because I came from a small private all girls' school, I was out of my comfort zone while attending a large university.
The working world taught me some lessons. I learned…
Tracy Sanchez
My name is Tracy Sanchez. I currently live in Secane, Pennsylvania. It was a couple of years ago, in my mid-thirties, when my life took a dramatic turn. I had worked at a company for fourteen years when the company downsized. The downsizing forced me to do two difficult things, change occupations and take a cut in salary. I found a job as an Administrative Assistant at The American College.
The American College is unique in that it specializes in financial services, offering students designations, such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC). The college is also different in that it offers students a way to learn outside of the traditional classroom (distance learning). Students earn their designations when they pass a computerized examination.

pursuing a career in social work and how such choice has been affected by my basic personality and life experiences. Choosing one's career is one of life's most difficult decisions (Montmarquette). Some make the decision early in life while others find themselves wandering about well into their adulthood. Others change careers a number of times before ultimately deciding upon their life's work. How that decision is made varies in as many ways as there are career choices and the factors that individuals depend upon for making their decisions are also varied. The influence of others, a personal assessment of one's skills or interests, or even the amount training or…

Hesitant to Pursue a Career in Business
Whom it May Concern
Re: Why I Am Hesitant to Pursue a Career in Business
In a tough economy, most people would probably take any job they can get after they graduate from college. However, as it comes closer to graduation, I find I'm becoming more and more hesitant when I think about launching a career in business. That's because it seems there are so many unethical companies out there, that will do anything to make money, even if it kills people in the process. I'm not talking just about Enron and AIG here, who preyed on their customers and ruined the lives of many of their investors and employees. I'm talking about companies that knowingly engage in unethical business practices, just because they can. Look at the Chinese company that included melamine in its pet food, and killed hundreds of innocent pets.…
Detail Five-Year Plan for Career, Including Jobs You Want, How Leverage Education and How Prepare Yourself for This Path.
Experience has taught me that despite one's best intentions sometimes the unexpected evolves. Taking this into consideration I gladly outline my five-year goals understanding that unexpected events or circumstances may change my path slightly, but ultimately not interfere with my primary purpose, which is to develop and manage my own company.
In the next five years I plan to acquire the professional skills and experience needed to start my own information-systems business in the global economic market. To facilitate this dream I intend on seeking employment with Wall Street in a position that will endow me with practical knowledge in product development within the international finance market. I plan to acquire a position that will teach me how to market products successfully so I can translate these skills into solid business…

A received my BS in Accounting in 2003 from Goldey-Beacom…
I have been working in the accounting field since 2001, and I find it both challenging and interesting. I have completed a variety of different accounting tasks during my varying employment, and feel that my background in accounting will help me with the financial and business concepts I will be learning as I complete my graduate work.
I have chosen XXXX University for a variety of reasons, but foremost is the University's national and international reputation. The LeBow School of Business was recently ranked among the top Executive MBA programs - 30th in the nation and 56th worldwide, and I would be proud to attend such a highly ranked school. I feel XXXX and its reputation would add another dimension to my educational experience, and certainly aid my career goals for the future.
A realize that accomplishing my goals will be a challenge, but I look forward to completing my education at XXXX, and continuing on with my chosen career path. My outside interests vary, and I am currently a member of the International Business Association in anticipation of my graduate work. I look forward to attending XXXX, and to completing my educational goals in the XXXX MBA program.
The significance of career training programs i.e. formal and non-formal educational measures help in quality development of personnel and promoting the achievement of career goals and objectives as well as success in the field.
Conclusion:
The hospitality and hotel management industry provides numerous opportunities for individual development and success. Notably, success in this industry depends on the formal and informal career training and educational programs that an individual receives. These programs help in career development and management in relation to current and future career goals. Therefore, career development plan is based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities obtained from these training programs.
