Crop circles have eluded scientists and investigators since their emergence. Anyone who has ever seen one has the same question in mind - how did they get here? Some have sought to deceive the scientific community by creating fake crop circles with the use of boards and strings. These 'hoaxers' have claimed responsibility for all existing crop circles. Is it possible that hoaxers are responsible for one of the most mysterious phenomena of the modern age? Crop circles are a profound mystery. Their designs range from simple to intricate. Their explanations range from natural to supernatural. Some scientists believe they are created by extra-terrestrials as a...

Other theories suggest that they are a natural occurrence or even a supernatural occurrence caused by spirits.
Interestingly enough, there are several peculiar documented events that occur at crop circle cite. First, there have been many U.F.O. sightings in the vicinity of crop circles. Secondly, the circles have also been known to give off high positive radio interference readings, which do not occur naturally. Most importantly, crops are bent in such as way as to not break their stalks.

Another explanation is that they are man-made. According to Andrews, some crop circles are hoaxed. Hoaxes…

This image has lasted for nearly three thousand years but may now be in need of renewal. "God" may be longing for release from His immolation in the structure of our beliefs. To use a gardening metaphor, God has become pot-bound, fixed and constricted by the anthropomorphic, gender-biased, paternalistic image that we have projected onto Him. As Teilhard de Chardin suggested, we need to formulate a new image of

Assignment 1 Abductive reasoning offers the most likely explanation, which may not necessarily be true. Applying rigorous standards of proof helps to show why the simplest or most likely explanation may be the best one at the time, but that more information is needed before the truth is verifiable. Any situation that cannot be immediately explained, from seeming coincidences to the perception of supernatural events, can be attributed to false causes. One

Night Shyamalan's 2002 motion picture "Signs" is more about faith than it is about either crop circles or aliens. Although the plot centers around the imminent arrival of extraterrestrial beings and what that arrival entails, the film focuses on the disillusioned Reverend Graham Hess, played by Mel Gibson. Following the untimely death of his wife, Hess loses his faith in God and renounces the church. This loss of faith is

Furthermore, he argues, a technological culture is not an inevitable feature of human evolution. If other cultures had achieved ascendancy, then science and technology would not have emerged as a reference point for measuring intelligence. SETI's requirement for an almost identical technology, although scientifically understandable, is based on an impoverished concept of intelligence. According to Munevar, the development of a scientific culture, with access to radio communication, is highly contingent,
