A bachelor's degree will permit me to then go on and further my education and get a doctoral degree. It will also qualify me to aid psychologists and other professionals in neighborhood mental health centers, occupational rehabilitation offices, and correctional curriculums. Those who hold a Bachelor's degree may also work as administrative assistants for psychologists. Many also find work in other areas, such as sales, service, or business management (Psychologists, 2009).
What work values are important for this job?
Industrial psychologists often plan their work with little supervision so they need to be self-motivated. This occupation allows employs to work by themselves and make their own decisions. Workers on this job have work where they do things for other people so they must be very people oriented. The field of psychologists is anticipated to grow quicker than normal. Career forecasts are thought to be the best for those who have obtained a doctoral degree from a good school in a functional area of expertise, such as counseling or health, and those with an expert or doctoral degree in school psychology. Those people with a Master's degree in fields besides industrial-organizational psychology are going to face a lot of strong competition. Chances will be restricted for bachelor's degree holders. Employment is going to grow because of augmented demand for psychological services in schools, hospitals, social service organizations, mental health clinics, substance abuse treatment centers, consulting organizations and private businesses (Psychologists, 2009).
