Understanding Women’s Pathways to Jail: Analyzing the Lives of Incarcerated Women by Dugan L, Yahner L.J & Simpson S.S,(2008).

This research method took a retrospective approach through the life event calendar to collect the data that was used to display the female pathways. It depended on the respondent memory among the women. This method enabled the self reports which are objective and gives a firsthand experience in such a research process. The research was conducted among 351 women who were incarcerated at Baltimore City Detention Centre. There were extensive in-person interviews undertaken with the aid of computerized life event calendar. This research was conducted between January 2001 and April 2002

The research had four major categories of variables, the first was demographics and life contingencies, offence history was the second, illegal/antisocial activity and the last was violent experiences. In the analysis of the variables collected, there were some feminist pathways that were noted as a cause to crime among the females. It was noted that 87% of the women in the sample had experienced at least one violent incident during the calendar period. 13% of the women sample had been victimized by valence during the calendar period but did not attack back. Further, 6% had used violence defensively. 33% of the women in the sample had used violence offensively and had been victimized in other incidents. However, 20% had used violence offensively but had never been victimized.

The findings of this research emphasized the women pathways theory into crime that battered women in relationships are more likely to end up in crime as compared to women who have stable and non-violent relationships.

As a doctor she may most assuredly also be viewed as a feminist physiologist and

Feminism today is especially being guided by the Feminists of old, prominent leaders of the past who continue to forge the path ahead for the modern women's movement: these are leaders like Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court and Gloria Steinhem of Women's Media Center. Many other prominent figures represent Feminism today and are actively working towards the advocacy of women's rights in social, political, economic, and religious spectrums.

Feminist Criminology and Victimization Theory Feminist Criminology Feminist criminology theory proposes that social and ethnic structures that lead to gender oppression will increase the prevalence of criminality among the oppressed (Bernard, 2013). In most cultures, including the west, there exists a history of subjugation of women at all levels of society. The feminist movement in the United States and elsewhere accordingly sought to reduce or eliminate the power of these social, legal,

From the fact that two individuals were able to keep their hands in for 5 seconds longer than that of the other participants it seems as though the motivational approach may be more effective than sensory discriminative in quelling pain. The shift toward standardized testing has failed to result in a meaningful reduction of high school dropout rates, and students with disabilities continue to be marginalized by the culture of testing in public education (Dynarski et al., 2008). With that said, the needs of students with specific educational challenges are diverse and complex, and the solutions to their needs are not revealed in the results of standardized testing (Crawford &

" The degree of importance ascribed to such a decision transcends a mere walk in the woods, and refers to a decision that changes one's life and which one desires to have reconsidered. Readers can also infer that this work is literally about life's regrets due to the amount of importance which Frost attributes to the decision that the traveler makes. Literally, of course, the traveler is considering which road to
