The populations where we operate our business are very much strong, skillful and supportive. Due to our workers and merchants, the dreams are fulfilled by making partnerships with liberal organizations ("Harley Davidson," 2001).

Overview of 2009 Performance (Slide 1)

According to the management of Harley Davidson, 2009 wasn't a good year for the company. The company had decreased sales, revenue and earnings per share. The sales declined to 21.3% as compared to the sales of 2008, net income declined to 84.1% as compared to 2008 while concentrated earnings reduced to 84.5% as compared to the earnings of 2008 (Milwaukee, 2009).

Organizational Structure and Management Team (Slide 2)

The organizational structure of Harley Davidson is based on functional departmentalization. The management team and organizational structure is shown in the appendices section as Figure 1 ("The Official Board," 2012).

Business Units of Harley Davidson (Slide 3)

The Harley Davidson Company works in two strategic business units (SBU's) which are: Harley Davidson Motor Company (HDMC) and Harley Davidson Financial Services Inc. (HDFS).

Products and Services Offered (Slide 3)

HDMC is responsible for the designing, manufacturing and selling of heavy weight motorcycles whether they are for tourism, performance-based or customer bikes. It also sells clothing, spare parts and different accessories related to the motorcycles. On the other hand, HDFS is responsible for providing loan to the merchants and retailers ("Harley Davidson," 2001).

There are a total of five brands of motorcycles that are being produced and sold by Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company. These five brands are: Sportster, Softail, Dyna Glide, VRSC and Touring.

Corporate Goals and Objectives (Slide 4)

The main goal of the firm is to produce heavy weight motorcycles and sell them. This was the goal of the firm in the start of 20th century but later on the goal was to produce and sell heavy weight motorcycles by the help of effective audit and control system. Another objective of the company was to produce more than 200,000 motorcycles per year by reducing the costs ("IT Governance Institute," 2003).
