Job Application Letter
I am writing to you as your next administrative assistant. I am fully qualified, meeting all of your criteria, and I am looking for a new opportunity where I can better apply my extensive skills. I am currently working at a smaller accounting firm where my opportunities are limited, so when I join your firm I will bring not only a vast array of technical skills but an enthusiastic attitude as well.
In my current position, I have become expert in ASIC searches, working with Corporate Affairs software and MYOBAO. The basic functional administrative tasks I have long mastered -- liaising with the ATO, maintaining client folders, assisting with lodgements, reporting, invoicing and working in a team when needed. I have spent years working in a Microsoft environment.
I am a dream to work with. I work independently and am driven internally to be the best. I can be the best because I am very well organized -- I help the others around me to become more organized as well. I can typically handle the workload of two people without much difficulty at all.
What I seek from you is an opportunity. I love my current firm, but there are few opportunities for advancement. What I need at this point in my career is an opportunity to grow in a large firm. There is no doubt that this step is exactly what I need -- and you will be the beneficiary of this move. You will not find a better candidate -- call me as soon as possible to bring me in and see for yourself how I can help you.
Sincerely,
Accounting Candidate
2) I contribute to my team's success on a daily basis. We have a lot of superstars on my current team and my role is to ensure that they are capable to performing at their best without worrying about the administrative details. Consider our team's work last year with a major mining client. This company faced a difficult tax situation with regards to an operation in PNG and we were called upon to solve the problem to avoid trouble with the regulators.
Our star accountants set about this task, but the job of coordinating the effort was mine. I needed to organize the paperwork, to track the progress of the different team members and to ensure proper filing of the necessary documents with regulators. Under my direction and leadership, our partners were able to bring the problem to a smooth resolution, saving the client tens of thousands of dollars in the process.
