Ink Analysis Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC)
Ink analysis has been known as the most significant process that is capable to divulge important information on queried documents. It is clear that inks are manufactured from an extensive variety of substances that tend to demonstrate extremely dissimilar reactions chemically. Due to the manner in which documents are important and it destruction is not containable, there has been a method that has been explored as the most potential means of differentiation of ink samples and this method is known as thin layer chromatography. This report is going to take us through the process of ink analysis by Thin Layer Chromatography which will be done in a Laboratory and the whole process is going to be demonstrated in the course of the paper. The report will also outline the background of thin layer chromatography highlighting its history as well as braking down how the method works looking at each and every procedure. Report will also display the observations of the entire procedure finalizing with a conclusion.
Introduction
According to Harry W. Lewis, Christopher J. And Moody, (Illustrated edition ed) thin layer chromatography (TLC) is a technique of chromatography mainly used to separate mixtures. This is done on a glass sheet, plastic or aluminium foil and whatever is picked must be coated with a thin layer of permeable material which in many occasions is silica gel, cellulose or aluminium oxide. Stationary phase is the name given to this permeable layer. It is important to note that all types of chromatography work on the similar principal and they all bear a solid or a liquid supported on a solid otherwise known as stationary phase as well as a liquid or a gas otherwise known as a mobile phase. There is a flow of mobile phase through a stationary phase carrying with it the mixture of components....
As a "guardian of care," a nurse leader fulfills one of the most important roles in healthcare. All aspiring nurses and nurse leaders need to learn by observation and critical analysis of what a nurse leader does and how nurse leaders make their decisions. Observing a nurse leader entails documenting details of the day, with a goal of recognizing themes. The following is a plan of observation of a nurse
School Observation: Springfield Gardens Middle School The focus of this school observation is PS 59, Springfield Gardens Middle School in New York City. The observation was conducted in three separate settings: a math class, the cafeteria, and the school's main office. The goal of the observation was to gain insight on the relationships between different stakeholders in the school community, including teachers, students, staff, administration, and parents, and how these relationships
Observation Portfolio – Special Education Classroom Introduction This observation portfolio paper presents a summary of my experience and knowledge gained from analyzing four observation sessions in a special education classroom setting. Observation 1 and 2 was conducted in the morning, observation 3 of 4 took place during lunch break, and observation 4 of 4 was conducted in the afternoon. Each of the four observation sessions is discussed below. Observation 1 of 4 Observation Summary The
It provides a marker for conducting and easily recording observations of complex learning. This is in a paperless format, highly efficient and engaging strategy." (Wren, 2011) (Ivers, 2003) This is illustrating how technology is critical to reaching out to students and offering them with further explanations about what is occurring. When this happens, they will be able to more effectively relate to key ideas and have a grasp of the
Methods for Recording ObservationsThere are many methods available for recording observations namely video and audio recording, note taking, drawing sketches, photographs, or using computerized recorders. The most effective method for recording observations is video and audio recording. This method will not only allow for the capture of behavior, but also capturing the exact manner of how the behavior is enacted. Using video and audio recording, one can also capture the
Fast Food Restaurant: McDonalds For this study, the researchers went to a McDonald's fast food restaurant to observe operations during a standard high-traffic weekday lunch hour (11am-2pm). The goal of the study was to observe different operational aspects of the business. These operational aspects included: role differentiation; coordination mechanisms; technology; and stakeholders. The observation yielded surprising information about fast food workers. They were far more efficient than we had previously
