The staff members mentioned that this could cause difficulties for them because patients and family members would express concerns with their familiar staff members that they might not address with doctors. This is actually an issue that is well-recognized by people in the healthcare community. AARP mentioned that, "Communication among families is so important that Medicaid and Medicare nursing homes are required to allow families to form councils that meet privately in the facility" (AARP, 2007). Furthermore, the staff members made it clear that the communication issues were complicated by family relationships. Moreover, in more expensive facilities, there is often little attempt to have a comprehensive communication approach. I believe that a roundtable communication approach that includes regular communication between staff, medical professionals, family members, and residents would be the ideal solution to the communication issues experienced in many nursing homes.

Wireless LANs Replace Wired LANs? The convenience of wireless communication is so overwhelmingly obvious that given a choice, and provided there are no price constraints, almost everyone would prefer wireless instead of wired communication. This is reflected in the widespread use of devices such as remote control for TV, cellular telephones, pagers, and remote garage openers. The flexibility, mobility, and convenience that such 'wire-less' devices bring to our lives are

Local Elections in the City of York, UK Many Western democracies are dealing with the problem of low voter turnout in elections. The United Kingdom is no different in this regard. Local elections seem to be particularly hard hit by an absence of voters participating in these elections. Political scientists everywhere have been studying the problem of low voter turnout for quite some time, though interviews and surveys with the voting

Encouraging people to report violations for the sake of their health is a final service that nurses can perform to support the ban. People often do not like to report violations, because they feel like 'busybodies' but there is no way that state health inspectors alone can constantly police restaurant owners who illegally look the other way when customers light up. Nurses can remind the public that this legislation was
