Migrant How I Feel About Flusser's Message Essay

¶ … Migrant How I feel about Flusser's message

Flusser's message in my opinion is a point driven home. The message is succinct touching on the outward and inward way of living in the present multicultural environment. It emphasizes on the importance of maintaining the touch of home, Heimat as the author denotes it. I love this story. The article exemplifies various connotations necessary for a human being to interact well with other members of the society. Heimat is a simple exemplification of the various connotations, which try to bring out the "home" of an individual in the society. Besides, Fusser's message on the challenge of a migrant comes to me as a challenge and an inspiration on how I can be able to live within a Heimat, and be able to embrace the key and open sesame to unlock other Heimats and welcome them into my conscience.

Our dwellings are our dwellings and will remain so when one subscribes to a certain Heimat. This means that everything that takes place in the human life has enormous regards to the temperament and form of the dwelling of an individual. Flusser reiterates the fact, "homeland is not an eternal value but rather a function of a specific technology; still, whoever loses it suffers" (Flusser and Anke 12). Human beings are attracted to Heimat to the extent that they are not even able to experience how it feels to be in conscious presence of another Heimat. Our own Heimat is significant. We are even not able to comprehend and let consciousness be part of the bonds and linking strategies,…
