With the passing of the years better phones have been created and people ultimately invented the mobile phone. There are presently billions of mobile phone users world wide and the device has now become indispensable.

Despite the fact that the tool is considered to be one of the best inventions ever created, during the recent years it has been found that mobile phones potentially harm their users with the radio waves that they emit. A laboratory study has shown that mobile phones can harm body cells and damage DNA. The respective study however had not demonstrated that the devices are a threat to human health.

A more recent study has shown that "radiation from mobile phones delays and reduces sleep, and causes headaches and confusion" (Lean, 2008) According to the study, the radiation coming from mobile phones interferes with the body and prevents it from getting the sleep it needs. This is most damaging for children and teenagers, as they tend to use cell phones in excess before sleeping. The radiations are believed to cause a state of agitation by altering the brain's stress system, hence it cannot function properly while in the state of sleep.

There were often reports of people having headaches after abusing mobile phones or after standing near an antenna which emitted the signal towards mobile phones. It is best for people to avoid using the mobile phone in favor of a standard landline phone in the cases in which both are available. Due to the fact that mobile phones are currently low cost and thus affordable, more and more people use them.

This also happens for the reason that mobile phone companies are coming up with cheaper phones and very attractive deals in terms of contracts. The radiation coming from mobile phones can also be diminished with the help of hands free.
