Describe your current family and living situation:

Since 1995, my father has been serving the Lord as a minister in China, a position which he finds very satisfying. Both personally and spiritually. My brother is also a minister and is currently working for youth ministry in the city of Chicago. For myself, I have studied abroad several times and when I arrived in the United States, I entered Philadelphia Biblical University and am now enrolled for a Master's degree. I have never been married and live by myself in north Philadelphia.

Describe how you came to know Christ as your personal Savior and how you are currently cultivating your spiritual life:

My Christian ancestry goes back many years. First of all, my great-great grandfather was the first elder of the Korean church which means that Christianity has been part of my family's life for at least one hundred years. In other words, my personal belief in God and Jesus Christ is a generational tradition, so it is no surprise that my religious beliefs are due to living in a Christian family. However, I have always felt that something was missing and greatly desired to know Jesus Christ far more than I currently do, yet I did not know exactly how to obtain this new knowledge about Jesus. When I was in the 6th grade, I was given the opportunity to attend a retreat with some of my friends from church. On the last day of this retreat, we prayed and praised God as we normally did, but something within me changed and when I confessed by sins to God, I became filled with incredible joy and contentment. It was during this event that I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal savior. At this point in my life, I always ask myself "If I was Jesus Christ, how would I react to a particular situation?" meaning that I try to put myself in Jesus' position as an evangelist. One way that I try to do this is to remember that Jesus gave the emotion of love a central place in his ministry and expressed this love via his unselfish service to those less fortunate than himself, such as his fellow countrymen who lived in poverty. In addition, I currently read and study the Holy Bible whenever I can in order to develop more understanding about the Bible and thus become more Christ-like in my daily life, especially related to my attitudes on certain topics and subjects.

3. Describe your current employment situation:

At this time, I am working at the Korean Church for Children as a ministry director and one of my major roles is to teach children about the Holy Bible and the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
