3. I will search as many job-related Web sites as possible, taking my time and being patient. I will not give up if the first Web site does not present me with my dream job. I will read carefully through the job descriptions on the Web sites, because if I skim too fast I might overlook positions that would be ideal for me. I will maximize my search time by bookmarking positions I am interested in, coming back to those later.

I will search for jobs in many different categories. I will not restrict myself to certain job categories, because the employer might list a position in a category that I normally would not have chosen. I will think long and hard about how my talents can be maximized in a position, taking into account working conditions and whether or not communications skills are required. I will read each of my selected job descriptions carefully before applying. Instead of being hasty, I will compose my cover letter and tweak my resume to suit the position that is being advertised. This way, I will make sure to present myself as a candidate who fits the needs of the company. I will meditate on how I manifested desirable character traits, and share those traits with the company in my cover letter.

I will never give up in my search. I understand that many companies will turn me down before one accepts my application and calls me in for an interview. I will persist in finding a position that suits me and with which I can build an ideal career in the field of my choice.
