Narcissistic Personality Disorder is a mental disorder that is characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a need for excessive attention and admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. For example, people with NPD tend to have an inflated sense of self-importance, while those with Borderline Personality Disorder are more likely to experience extreme mood swings and impulsive behaviors.
