By understanding one's strengths, individuals can leverage them to achieve personal and professional goals. Similarly, identifying weaknesses enables individuals to develop strategies to improve and achieve success in their endeavors.

Additionally, understanding one's learning style and preferences is essential in designing effective learning strategies as it helps individuals to identify the most suitable learning resources and methods, which enhances learning outcomes. Principles, Modes, Aspects, and Strategies

Healthcare economics refers to the study of how healthcare resources are allocated, and the impact of these decisions on the delivery of healthcare services. The basic principles of healthcare economics include efficiency, equity, and effectiveness (Andrews et al., 2019). Efficiency involves the allocation of resources to maximize the benefits of healthcare services while minimizing costs. Equity involves ensuring that healthcare services are accessible to all individuals, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Effectiveness involves ensuring that healthcare services provide the desired health outcomes.

The primary sources of healthcare financing include private insurance, public insurance, and out-of-pocket payments. The basic principles of healthcare financing include affordability, universality, and sustainability (Verguet et al., 2021). Affordability involves ensuring that healthcare services are affordable for all individuals. Universality involves ensuring that all individuals have access to healthcare services. Sustainability involves ensuring that healthcare services can be funded over the long term.

Healthcare ethics refers to the principles and values that guide decision-making in healthcare. The basic principles of healthcare ethics include autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice (Jafari et al., 2019). Autonomy involves respecting the rights of patients to make decisions about their healthcare. Beneficence involves acting in the best interests of patients. Non-maleficence involves avoiding harm to patients. Justice involves ensuring that healthcare services are distributed fairly.

The most common modes of healthcare financing include fee-for-service, capitation, and global budgets (Obadha et al., 2019). Fee-for-service involves healthcare providers receiving payments for each service they provide. Capitation involves healthcare providers receiving a fixed amount of money per patient regardless of the services provided. Global budgets involve healthcare providers receiving a fixed amount of money to provide healthcare services to a specific population.

Practice initiatives involve developing and implementing strategies to improve healthcare delivery (Smith et al., 2020). The financial aspects of practice initiatives include identifying the resources required to implement the initiatives, estimating the costs of implementing the initiatives, and identifying potential sources of funding to support the initiatives. Practice initiatives can assist with the resolution of healthcare disparities by addressing the social determinants of health, increasing access to healthcare services, and improving the quality of healthcare services provided to marginalized populations. Effective healthcare management, economic, financing, and ethics principles should guide the development and implementation of practice initiatives aimed at addressing healthcare disparities.

Advocating for just and ethical practices in healthcare policy and healthcare delivery systems involves identifying the key stakeholders, developing a communication strategy, and building alliances with other organizations that share similar values (Harris et al., 2019). It also involves engaging in public education and advocacy efforts to raise awareness about the importance of just and ethical practices in healthcare. Strategies should be guided by ethical principles, such as autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, to ensure that advocacy efforts are consistent with ethical standards.

Collaborating with My Mentor

Regarding my collaboration with my mentor, I believe it will be beneficial in reaching my academic goals. The partnership with my DNP Practicum Project team mentor will enhance my success in the DNP by providing me with guidance and support in completing my practicum project. I believe that overall my mentor's expertise and experience will help me develop a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry and develop effective strategies to address healthcare disparities.
