Question# 3 Anna and Lisa both sue the school and Pastor Forester for discrimination and, further, for liability for their injuries (the stabbing damages and the damages to Lisa's son's health). You are on the board of directors and need to analyze the liability of the school. Limit your answer to the school's liability only. Write a brief memo as to whether Pastor Forester committed illegal or discriminatory practices in his brief tenure described in this situation. Then, analyze the potential liability of the school. Discuss agency liability, as well as any employment law aspects. Explain whether you feel that the two injured teachers have cases for recovery against the school. To begin, due to the Affordable Care Act of 2010, the healthcare profession is undergoing a fundamental shift in regards to the patient experience. The U.S. health care system is now shifting the focus from acute and specialty care to that of primary care. This shift will alter the skills and qualifications needed to be successful on the job. Also, due primarily to that aging of the baby boomer generation, the need for primary car overall is shifting and will be needed heavily in the future. More individuals due to the act are now insured. This newly formed population will now require services they would otherwise have forgone. Therefore, the need for primary care will also increase over subsequent years, particular within the minority population. The affordable care act helps a disproportionate amount of minorities afford healthcare in manner that they could not before. As such, they too will demand higher quality service.

Andrew Seaman (2012) describes a Feb. 2012 study in Pediatrics, where researchers found that increasing the coverage age for parents' insurance plans coincided with an increase in consumption of care for young adults aging into private-pay or employer-paid coverage age limits. The problem is that when minors attain certain age, they are only covered under their parents' insurance if they go to college in most cases, and the cutoff age of coverage even in school is generally 24. Where that age has been increased by law, health care consumption by the young has apparently increased. One of the major differences of the new laws is that they increase parents' self-insured employer plan age, which affects a meaningful number of consumers.
