About This Topic AI GENERATED

Students often find analytical essays particularly challenging to write.  Because so much of the K-12 writing focus is on expository essays, student writing styles tend to be geared towards summarizing information.  However, an analytical essay requires the writer to do more than summarize information; after presenting the information, the writer is required to do something more.  When examining a piece of literature, an analysis often looks at how or why the piece is effective or ineffective.  When looking at nonfiction works, an analytical essay may examine how one event contributed to another event.

Like all essays, your analytical essay will begin with an introduction.  The introduction helps the reader understand what you are trying to establish with the meat of your essay.  Your thesis statement will be contained in the introduction, as will a brief preview of the facts or analysis that you will be using to help establish your thesis.

The body of your analytical essay is where you find the bulk of your arguments or evidence.  Each paragraph should have its own topic sentence, with the remainder of the sentences in the paragraph supporting the idea expressed in that topic sentence.  These topic sentences, in turn, should support the claims you have made in your thesis statement.

Finally, the conclusion of your analytical essays ties it all together, by reminding the reader of your thesis statement and the evidence you used to support that statement.

One of the best ways to help understand how an analytical essay differs from an expository or explanatory essay is to read examples of both types of essays.  Reading through them, you will easily see how analytical essays use evidence to support statements in a way that expository essays do not.  You can find examples of our expository essays in our expository essay section, and examples of our analytical essays here.

Organizational structure and its critical implications
Introduction As with structure, culture is methodologically analyzable by virtue of its emergent status. Indeed, like structure, culture has relational, causal properties of its own, which confront actualizing agency in the form of situational logics (Archer 2006: ch. 7). Cultural analysis is also a multi-level affair, from the doctrinal level, where, for instance, religious doctrine may contradict welfare policy, down to the micro-level. Just as any role within an organization can have contradictory requirements, so can cultural values. However, the problem currently vitiating the literature on ‘organizational culture' is precisely how one can examine the relative interplay between society's ‘prepositional register' and agency when culture is reduced to, or defined solely in terms of, what goes on at the level of causality. The realist assertion that culture as an emergent product has properties of its own is thrown out of the analytical window; or, following Archer, the S-C level is conflated with the CS level.

Germany vs South Korea: Trade Show Industry Compared
The trade show industry plays a crucial role in the marketing success of any business firm. At the same time, the trade show industry remains largely ignored in academic research. Germany is the global leader in the trade show industry because of the excellent quality of its infrastructure and professional standards. The strategic location and liberal economic policies of the country also contribute to its sustained success. The trade show industry can support a firm's marketing objectives by providing opportunities to make new customers, explore international markets, promote products and obtain information about competitors. The South Korean trade show industry has also shown growth in recent years because of its economic success after the Asian financial crisis of 1997. It is expected to become one of the leading trade show destinations of the future. As the global trade show industry prepares for growth after the global economic crisis, industry participants are gearing up for intensifying competition between existing players and new entrants from Asia. The emphasis will be on increasing service quality for exhibitors and visitors. At the same time, there are increased opportunities for cooperation among trade show destinations for exchange of exhibitors and visitors.

Market Segmentation Is a Way
Market segmentation is a way to differentiate a group so that the seller of goods or services does not concentrate on the entire universe, but on a group of high potential customers that are more likely to purchase the product. The SDL theory can help us uncover ways to use segmentation by concentrating on two important areas of the marketing/consumer experience itself and the more remote and less immediately focused model.
