This essay examines two separate human behavior theories that have relevance in professional social work. The first theory examined is Self Determination Theory (SDT) which was described as being somewhat useful. The second theory discussed, attachment theory, provided more use than the other theories when compared. The essay concludes that many theories can be effective when properly applied with purpose.

Depth perception describes the process of seeing distances between objects. The image projected on the retina two-dimensional; therefore, the visual system has to take advantage of several other cues or components of the environment in order to recover the quality of depth. In general cues providing information for depth perception are generally classified as being either binocular or monocular.

The paper is based on personality theories and concentrates on behaviorists and their explanation of personalities. It looks at the main claims put forth by these theories and also examines the central contributions of various theorists in the particular fields that are related to behavior. It also looks at the weaknesses of these theories.

It is also good to try to replace bad habits with healthier behaviors. For example, if your bad habit is always being late, the new pattern could include something that is healthy for you or at least more fun. Instead of being ten minutes late for everything you do, you could try to show up half an hour early to everything for thirty days and bring along a favorite book or magazine to read while you wait. Or maybe play a game on your phone that you like. Whatever it is, if it is enjoyable, it will help reinforce the attempt to break the bad habit and put something better in its place. However, you also need to be careful not to replace a bad habit with another bad habit or else you could simply go back to square one. Finally, if you try to break a habit and it doesn’t work on the first try, then don’t give up. Keep trying different approaches. Eventually you will find one that works for you and you will be able to kick your bad habit for good.

The eight page paper is not about personality psychologists in general. Chosen psychologist is Sigmund Freud and the selected book is The Interpretation of Dreams with five pages of chapter-by-chapter summaries, and three pages of analysis (i.e., what was liked/disliked, agreed with/disagreed with, and how it relates to Human Personality).
