About This Topic

Like a compare and contrast essay, a contrast essay asks you to choose two or more items and ideas and write about them.  However, instead of highlighting similarities between the two things, a contrast essay will describe how they are different.  It is important to note that, in order to have an effective contrast essay, there must be some similarities or shared middle ground between the things being contrasted.  A contrast essay that focused on the differences between a roller skate and the planet Jupiter would contain a lot of contrast, but would be almost incoherent.  However, a contrast essay that focused on the differences in Earth and Jupiter would start from the point where they are similar (planets in the same solar system) and then highlight differences.

Foreign Aid and Economic Development Does Foreign
This research paper discusses the effect of foreign aid on economic development in both Latin America and Caribbean, and determines the relationship that exists between the two aspects. The findings of this research study illustrates that there is a positive relationship between the foreign aid and economic growth in these two countries. However, Latin America seems to enjoy a stronger positive relationship compared to Caribbean because of numerous totalitarian institutions, for instance government owned financial institutions, powerful management leadership and friendly economic atmospheres. For this reason, it is apparent that foreign aid boosts economic development in both Latin America and Caribbean

Couse / Subject= Drugs Across Cultures. Ant110.
The concept of addiction is one of the most debated topics in the present and many individuals have expressed particular interest in discovering the factors that are probable to make certain groups exposed to substances. Addiction is one of society's most pressing problems and it is essential for individuals to focus on combating it through any means available. In order for society to be able to determine whether addiction is more related to biological factors than it is to cultural factors, one would need to follow patterns and learn more regarding what leads to addiction. The fact that the masses over generalize makes it difficult for researchers to get a better understanding of what addiction is. While addiction can also be caused by biological factors, cultural concepts are very important in determining a person's need for a certain substance.
