The paper analyses the case study Mattel and the toy recalls. The paper specifies and discusses the problems that Mattel faced to force the recall. A conclusion is made in regards to how Mattel should ensure that the problems do not occur again.

In this paper, we will review the effects of 2008 global automotive crisis. Our main focus will be on the American car manufacturers and the negative impact they suffered due to the crisis. We will also have a look at how this crisis had affected car manufacturers in other major markets around the world notably Europe, Canada and the prominent Asian markets such as China and India. Finally, we will look at some of the other factors which were important to this event namely the energy crisis since the cost of fuel is directly related to the car industry.

This research paper has to do with the anti-corruption practices of the government of Hong Kong and how those practices compare to other nations in the world. Because Hong Kong is a special case principality in the word, they have many of the same features of a Western democracy. This report found that Hong Kong can be very favorably compared to these same governments in its fight against governmental corruption.

Chapter One: Introduction APEC which means Asian-Pacific Economic Corporation is one of the biggest trading regions that consist of twenty-one countries in it. Countries that are heading under APEC are performing quite efficiently especially countries like China, Hong Kong and Vietnam. On the other hand, the United States is playing a major role in generating much more wealth by trading activities, whereas the performance of Japan is a bit weaker as compared to the trading region of the United States. However, the performance of Japan is improving now due to the rising demand of trade, technology and business activities. It is recorded that the inflation rate is low, whereas the fuel and commodity prices are going higher in these trading region. Moreover, the investment and the trade in the APEC region are increasing rapidly.

Negligent Tort On November 28, 2012, the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of 23,400 trampolines manufactured by Sportspower of Hong Kong because the metal legs of the trampoline can move out of their correct positions, poke through the trampoline's jumping area and present the risk of injuring the user by possibly "deep, penetrating puncture wounds, cuts and bruises." There is insufficient information to determine whether Sportspower would have been liable in negligence if the trampolines had not been recalled and had caused harm to a consumer. It appears that Plaintiff would be able to prove the duty of care, its breach, standard of care and falling below that standard; however, the facts of this case do not tell us enough to determine whether there was actual injury as a result of the Defendant's negligence, whether the Defendant's negligence was the actual cause of the Plaintiff's injury or whether the Defendant's negligence was the proximate cause of the Plaintiff's injury. In addition, the defenses of intervening cause, contributory negligence, comparative negligence and assumption of risk could be used by the Defendant to defeat the Plaintiff's case. At this point, we do not have sufficient information to determine whether those defenses would be successful. Fortunately for the Plaintiff, the "Substantial Product Hazards" provision of the Consumer Protection Act (15 U.S.C. § 2064) would cover this case. By manufacturing 23,400 trampolines with metal legs that could move out of position, puncture the jumping surface and cause deep and penetrating cuts, wounds and bruises to the person jumping on the trampoline, Sportspower has created a substantial risk of injury to the public. This would allow Plaintiff to use the "Substantial Product Hazards" provision of the Consumer Protection Act and the assistance of the Consumer Product Safety Commission to obtain relief from Sportspower.
