The proposal by the Chinese company JLPTC is attractive in terms of pricing. While price is an important factor and a key success factor in a lot of cases, there are other variables as well that need to be considered. As a consultant, it is important to state down the changes that are expected to take place objectively and then take a course of action based on that. Some of these factors are how the supply chain will be impacted in terms of sourcing the products, logistics management, contract and service level scenarios, warehousing costs, inventory levels to keep, demand forecasting, level of information sharing as well as reliability, flexibility and responsiveness of the modified supply chain. (Swink, Melnyk, Cooper, & Hartley, 2011) Discussing each in turn, the quality of the products that JLPTC makes will have to be a top concern, given that one of Otis train's core efficiencies lies in the detailing of its toy trains, and if this is outsourced to JLPTC, there effectively will be a loss of control. Secondly, as far as a logistics management scenario is concerned, the company was based in Minneapolis as the buyers were concentrated mainly in that area, saving on logistics costs. However, now when the production will be done in China, by the company, a host of international trading regulations will be involved, clearing and forwarding agents at both ends respectively will have to be taken on board. Warehousing and inventory management costs will rise, as finished trains will have to be stored first in China and then in the USA. Moreover, demand forecasting will now involve two entities and each will have its own input making it a lengthier process. (Swink, Melnyk, Cooper, & Hartley, 2011)

China is an emerging force in the world, and it seems only to be natural, as the Chinese civilization is one of the ancient civilizations of the world. In fact theorists seem to question the reasons for its downfall, as it is the largest and has historically been the cultural and educational center for the world. As far as its foreign policy is concerned, the Chinese government deals with it in a unique way, where the foreign affairs are the business of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which falls under the ambit of a department called the "Foreign Affairs Leading Small Group of the Communist Party of China". This ministry is sponsored by the government, but does not directly form part of it. These are think tanks that discuss foreign affairs and decide upon a foreign policy, and as the discussion group is not a formal part of government, these are more open and people present their views with less hesitation. According to David Gosset (Gosset, 2011): "The extraordinary Chinese ability to contextualize prepares the country's top decision-makers -- certainly at the level of the Foreign Affairs Leading Small Group of the Communist Party of China -- to have a holistic approach of world affairs (China). This should not be interpreted as a refusal to take a clear position on any singular question, but should be understood as the prudence to carefully consider how actions on one particular issue might affect the entire equilibrium of the system. While hard and soft power analyzes and targets the almost endless individual components of the global power game, subtle power apprehends synthetically their interactions." (Gosset, 2011)

The purpose of the study is to figure out the reason behind Time magazine's person of the year award to "The Protestants" and to analyze the various protests and movements occurring in the previous 14 months. The study also aims to find out the impact that the protests had on the theories of "Realism" and "Liberal Pluralism" and also its impact on the international politics.

The dilemma that Dr. Stockman faces in An Enemy of the People has contemporary currency. As modern society becomes ever more increasingly dependent upon knowledge—on science and technology knowledge, in particular—the role of scientists and engineers must evolve sufficient to keep pace with and essentially lead change. But this growing responsibility carries a moral imperative. Doubtless, there has always been some tacit moral imperative associated with science—as there is in medicine under the Hippocratic oath—but the consequences of attending to or ignoring science are perhaps greater than they have ever been in the history of mankind. The title of this research article is Integrating Fingerprint Verification into the Smart Card-Based Healthcare Information System and it was published in 2009. This research article was a result of the efforts put in by Daesung Moon, Yongwha Chung, Sung Bum Pan and Jin-Won Park. Due to the increase in very large scale integration technology, smart cards, which are credit card sized plastic cards embedded with memory inside a chip were introduced. These smart cards are able to store all information which is personal and is not shared with others. This research paper describes where the use of a smart card is applied in healthcare information systems and how integrating the use of smart cards is different from the usual ways in which patient information is gathered. In order to obtain relevant patient data, connection to the hospital database is necessary. This, however, is not possible in cases where connections are not available for example in ambulances and therefore having smart cards reduces the chances of not being able to get relevant patient data on time.

Music that is associated with childhood has special significance as it not only contributes to the mental development of the child but also reminds one of the happy memories of the childhood. Even the research shows that the music that a child hears has influence on him throughout his life and introducing children to various rhythms can make their experiences positive. (Bilhartz, Bruhn and Olson, 1999) The music that we hear mostly during our childhood is rhymes and lullabies.

Outsourcing various programming functions has become a popular trend in the business world primarily due to the costs savings that they believe that they will be able to capture. However, there is some debate about the actual cost savings that may be earned through this strategy. While a programmer in the Philippines may be paid an equivalent or as little as six to twelve thousand U.S. dollars per year for their work, the average costs of an outsourced project are projected by some estimates to be less than fifteen percent on average. Although the staff and human resources expenses may be significantly reduced through outsourcing different project functions, by using this format there are many additional costs that are necessary given the distance and technical or cultural barriers that must be overcome.

Criminal Justice System – Most Important Change Needed According to my research of Criminal Justice websites, journal articles and books, perhaps the most needed improvement is the System's institutionalized assistance in breaking the cycle of substance abuse in America. On a daily basis, all levels of the Criminal Justice System must deal with either substance abuse charges or related problems such as thefts committed to obtain drug money, domestic abuse by drug abusers and probation violations by failed drug tests. As a result, the System is forced to deal with the significant impact of drug abuse in the United States. It appears that Criminal Justice experts are determined to break the cycle of substance abuse in our Nation in order to handle all the drug/alcohol-related problems faced by the System. Through decades of intelligent observation and practice, the System is gradually realizing that merely punishing substance abuse offenders is an ineffective method of dealing with the substance abuse cycle. Consequently, the System must pay closer attention to the science of addiction and institutionalize methods of dealing with addiction throughout the System. First, the System should require system-wide continuing education of judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, police, probation officers and all other members of the Criminal Justice System about the science of addiction. Secondly, the educators and the members of the Criminal Justice System should work together for a statewide or even nationwide plan to determine: what roles each member of the Criminal Justice System should play in dealing with addiction, according to his/her job in the System; what information must be gathered to decide whether a person suffers from addiction; the earliest/best times to screen people who come into contact with the System; all the possible alternatives for dealing with screened people, depending on their assessment results. Third, these decisions should be used to design effective System-wide: alternative programs for dealing with addiction; screening and assessment in order to decide which people should be merely prosecuted and which people need alternatives such as substance abuse treatment. Fourth, the System needs to empower and encourage all members of the Criminal Justice System to use effective alternatives to sentencing. Fifth, the System needs to empower and encourage all members of the Criminal Justice System to supervise people being helped by those alternatives, using the power of their positions to encourage each person's cooperation. By adopting a System-wide approach to substance abuse, the Criminal Justice System can more effectively and ultimately inexpensively deal with our rampant drug/alcohol-related criminal problems.

Club Drugs & Ecstasy "Though some researchers have indicated club drug users are more likely to be poly-drug users, there remains little known about the prevalence and specific combinations of the substances they use…" (Grov, et al, 2009, p. 848). Introduction The use of club drugs in the United States has been a problem for healthcare agencies and law enforcement for many years. The focus of research on the use of club drugs (notably ecstasy) in most articles is on "rave" events, where loud music and drug use is typical. This paper reviews and critiques the literature related to the use and abuse of club drugs.

The famous Spanish Civil War fought from the year 1936 to 1939. This war was fought between two groups; the Republicans and the Nationalists. The Republicans were the supporters of the established Spanish republic; meanwhile the latter were a group of rebels who were led by General Francisco Franco. Franco emerged victorious in this war and ruled Spain for the next 36 years as a dictator. After a group of generals (led by Jose Sanjurjo) of the Spanish Republican Armed Forces declared opposition against the government of the Second Spanish Republic, the war ensued. At that time the President of Spain was Manuel Azana. This group of rebels had gained support from a couple of conservative groups that included the Spanish Confederation of the Autonomous Right, Fascist Falange and Carlists (Payne, 1973).
