What is Process Essays (Examples)?

A process essay is fundamentally different from other types of academic writing assignments.  In fact, it is closer to technical writing than to other types of academic writing. That is because a process essay describes a process that leads to a specific outcome.  There are two approaches to the process essay.  The first approach is often referred to as a directional process essay and is the simpler of the two approaches; it describes the steps necessary to complete a task.  The second approach to the process essay does more than outline steps, it also analyzes or explains the steps involved in the process.  The wording of your assignment will be important when you are trying to determine which approach to take while writing your process essay.

The introduction of your process essay needs to accomplish several things.  First, it needs to introduce the process you are going to describe, and give background information about that process, when such information is necessary.  Next, it needs to identify your audience.  Identifying your audience does not require actually saying the targeted audience for your essay, but, if your reader needs a certain educational, technical, or professional background to understand the essay, then the introduction provides a great opportunity for you to provide that material.

The body of the essay involves your actual descriptions of the process.  For simple directional process essays, the body of the essay involves a step-by-step description of each part of the process.  For analytical process essays, in addition to outlining the steps you might explain them to the reader or analyze whether the steps are necessary to the process and make the process more efficient, or should be eliminated or changed in order to maximize efficiency and performance.

Finally, the conclusion of your essay will reiterate what you hope to achieve with the process described in the essay.  If you have analyzed the process and found it lacking, the conclusion may also describe suggestions for further study or review.

Classification of music styles and genres in digital collections
The word ‘Classification' comes from the word class and it refers to the division of living and non living things on the predefined criterion. These criteria could be a shared quality such as all animals, plants, human, bacteria; germs etc are classified as living things because they can be differentiated form a chair, a pen and a phone on the basis of the quality that they breathe. The classification can be on the difference in color, as in blacks and whites, difference in texture like smooth and rough materials, on the basis of sounds, weight (heavy machinery), nature like conductors and insulators etc. Classification is done after a distinguishing feature is picked and then according to that materials are put into groups or classes.

Karl Popper and Falsification Karl Popper\'s Nontraditional
Falsification, also called refutability, is the logical possibility that an assertion, hypothesis, or theory can be contradicted by an observation made or by the outcome of a physical experiment. Made popular by philosopher of science, Karl Popper, falsification provided a method in which scientists start with a current scientific theory and use the usual methods of deductive reasoning to derive specific conclusions, some of which are "predictions" (Kenyon 1). This prediction could then become falsifiable if some observation or experiment had the ability to produce a result that would consistently reproduce a result in conflict with that earlier prediction. For example, the notion that "all birds can fly" is falsifiable, as empirical evidence has been found to disprove this notion. In essence, such a scientific standpoint appears not only valid but logical at first glance. However, in viewing the rocky history of falsification and its use, along with debates within the scientific community as to its validity in all situations, it appears that within the realm of natural science, more traditional views prove favorable in most cases.

European financial debt crisis: research analysis and data
Though the effects of the European financial and debt crisis began with the smaller counties, the larger economies also felt adverse effects. The ECB, IMF and EU also came to the rescue with a series of financial bailouts in the tunes of billions. Although the crisis seems to have been controlled for now, there is serious fear of its reemergence since the actions that were taken would only resolve the problem in the short term but not in the long run.

Female elements in Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison
Abstract Wile Sula is the most moving of Morrison's works for me, I have found myself coming back over and over to Song of Solomon: first, for the fierce wisdom of Pilate, which I wrote on in Listening to Our Bodies; then for the wisdom and clarity and originality of Morrison's analysis of masculine archetypes and how they underlie men's individuation; and finally, for lessons about women's life stages, since the novel gives a cross section of women on the boundary line of passages into various new life stages (Smith, 1995). Like her other novels, Morrison's Song of Solomon crosses several generations; the major action of the novel takes place when all the women have grown middle-aged or old. Although this novel develops in depth Morrison's vision of masculine archetypes, the portraits of the women are as strong and compelling as her more centrally feminine previous novels; as Gloria Snodgrass Malone says, "men [are] more prominent in this novel, but women bear the brunt of suffering." The female figures are for me more memorable than the males. And although the novel's protagonist is male, he is finally redeemed by the strength and spirituality of several women in his family and the witch figure Circe, whom he meets on his journey South. Milkman is thirty-one when this happens (Cowart, 1990). The older women in his family are his mother, Ruth, sixty-two, and his aunt, Pilate, sixty-eight; these women comprise the portraits of women in the last stage of life, well past middle age. His sisters, Corinthians and Lena, are forty-two and forty-three respectively, thus moving into middle-age during the last section of the novel, as does Reba, Pilate's daughter, although her age is never actually given. Hagar, Milkman's cousin and lover, dies at thirty-six, apparently unable and unwilling to move towards middle-age. But before examining the women's life stages in depth, we need to set the stage with Morrison's development of masculine archetypes (Novak).
