Though we presume that one model is male and one model is female, their similarity highlights their androgyny, their lack of gender or the blurring of gender. The authors may refer to this as post gender. With a quick glance, either model could be either gender or both at once because we cannot see their bodies. Confusion or diffusion of gender is implied in the composition of this photo. This may be what the authors refer to when speaking of disruption with regard to stereotypes of the human body.

There has been some movement in the privacy arena as companies doing business on the Web voluntarily participate in programs that give consumers opportunity to opt out of tracking. Categorically speaking, Internet privacy is quite a different animal from freedom of expression on the Internet. Nevertheless, the point is taken that the temporal gap between praxis and regulation is a consistent source of difficulty and a drain on resources.
As a globalized economy increasingly turns to professional information workers, the market is being altered by the proliferation of regulations that protect access to creative and intellectual property (Nakamura, 2000). Patents, copyrights, brands, and trademarks are all constructing exclusivity, which is largely temporary, but is monopolistic nonetheless (Nakamura, 2000). This wave of protective instruments is serving to erode unfettered access to markets (Nakamura, 2000).
Nonprofit Organizations and Board Term Limit Policy
There has been a significant amount of debate in the literature about what constitutes good corporate governance in regards to establishing term limits on members of the board of directors in non-profit organizations. The debate ranges from arguments that propose that any kind of term limit is unnecessary and could hinder the overall performance of the board, to some kind of term limit being a necessary requisite to proper board management. There are also arguments that rest in the middle of these two poles. For example, some charters will only allow board members to serve so many consecutive years. Thus, after taking some time off, a former board member would reset their clock and be able to return to the board after their break from this position. There are also many other variations and different strategies that are aimed at bridging the divide and creating a structure that facilitates good corporate governance.
