This paper consists of summaries and discussions of several chapters from Lac Su's book "I Love Yous Are for White People." In the chapters discussed here, the readers learn about Lac's confusion over who he was and he is gradual moving away from gangster life to a normal world. He wins over his abusive father's respect and ends up at University of California, Irvine, where he earns his doctorate in Psychology and becomes a psychologist and a writer.

Chosen Country: Japan Japanese culture is full of many traditional values. For instance, family is tremendously important to the Japanese and traditional gender roles are commonly upheld (Saito et al., 2004). For example, the father is generally the breadwinner and the mother is often a full-time homemaker who takes care of the children (Heapy, 2012). Japanese society is extremely structured and orbits around a conception of hierarchy and people's roles; it's not uncommon for people to be addressed in terms of the position they hold (Heapy, 2012). The culture values things like duty, loyalty, and obligation; in fact the Japanese view the biggest obligation as the one that one carries towards one's parents (Heapy, 2012).

This paper is about the First Amendment. Three major issues are discussed. They are the issue of obscenity, the issue of how well corporate speech is regulated and whether it should be. Also discussed in this paper is the issue of downloading and the various First Amendment issues regarding that subject.

Empirical question: Asking an empirical question in the social science of criminology requires actual research into real-world conditions. The question is usually factual in nature.
