This paper is about energy in the United States. According to the statistics of the Energy Information Administration, the per-capita energy consumption has been relatively constant since the 1970s till today in the United States. From the years 1980 to 2010, the average energy consumption per person has been around 334 million British thermal units.

This paper talks about the solar flares and how they go on to cause global warming. Global warming has been an ongoing phenomenon and there are many reasons it has occurred. Apart from the green house effect, global warming could have been due to the solar flares that have occurred. Different researches and theories regarding this matter are discussed in the paper.

Most scientists believe that the universe is made up of a number of chemicals that also exist on earth and other planets. This is not surprising since for those chemicals to occur on a planet, they must be formed somewhere. However, stars, nebulae, and interstellar clouds seem to be largely formed from hydrogen which fuses into helium, which then fuses into heavy metals (the type depend on the mass of the star).

The research and mission reported by this article regards unique weather patterns occurring on Mars. According to data gathered by the Phoenix Mars lander and the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter data, there are clouds of water vapor on Mars and there is the only known stance of carbon dioxide snow falling in this solar system. The research on this phenomenon was first published in the Journal of Geophysical Research. The CO2 snowfalls occur in the southern hemisphere, around the pole during the winters on Mars. The data shows that carbon dioxide stays frozen on the Martian surface year round on the south pole. Most of the data analysis is performed at the California Institute Technology of Pasadena.

Water is an important resource of earth and an inevitable requirement of life. There is no life without water; regardless it is human life, animal life or plant life. Water is mandatory for all kinds of life and it is no exaggeration to mention that if life ends, no activity is required on the face of earth. So it is a valid statement that water is life.

In this paper, it talked about physical science and also precautions that need to be done in order to make sure the earth is safe. It also talks about how much of the knowledge that we have about our solar system and universe would not had been discover if it wasn't for the invention of the a telescope.

Abstract Many objects move around in space that proves to be a threat to the planet earth and its components. Various objects would prove to be dangerous to the development and growth of humanity. A meteor refers to the bright streak of light in the sky (in the form of a shooting or falling star). The cause of the meteors is the entry of the small meteoroids within the context of the earth's atmosphere. An asteroid refers to a rocky object within the space, slightly smaller than the planets. In other cases, they are called small planets or planetoids in accordance with NASA.

This paper examines three ancient Greek civilizations: the Therans, the Mycenaeans, and the Minoans, from the perspective of a student in a distance learning course who has learned about the three civilizations through a series of prerecorded lectures. The paper consists of four exam-type questions. The questions focus on: the author's opinion of prerecorded lectures, the author's understanding of critical thinking, what most impressed the author about the course, and the basic differences in the three civilizations.
