Consumer Web Site Design: Purchase Intentions and Loyalty in a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Internet Commerce Environment
RHEORICAL DISSERAION
Electronic commerce has experienced the meteoric rise and subsequent crash of any behemoth entity cast aloft without moorings or foundation. From a now short but historical vantage point, this profound economic failure during the dot-com heyday can likely be attributed to a few key factors. Many experts in the field of e-commerce have suggested remedial reconstruction with only a few companies experiencing success in the wake of entity-wide bankruptcies.
Visual design is the logical persuasive power when influencing online consumers to buy from virtual stores. Using the previously unapplied concepts of logos (appeal to the logic), pathos (appeal to the emotions), and ethos (appeal to the credibility) to electronic commerce as found in the research taxonomy of Winn and Beck's studies, this research will reveal an appropriate melding of the consumer's perception of a positive online…

Although this may seem like a drawback in some areas (especially in its lack of breadth of available merchandise), there are none of the flashy pull down menus or multi-component searches that may be daunting for some customers. Additionally, this site seems to be limited on the models of ATVs for which it sells compatible accessories.
One plus of the Montana Jack site are its "theme pages," from which one can find all of the accessories related to a certain ATV focus or activity -- for example, hunting, boating, winching, snow plowing, or even wood-cutting to name a few. Although the customer must still go through the list of product models that are incompatible with his or her ATV, (unlike the ennis Kirk site), many might actually find this method less intimidating.

Are the two companies similar with respect to the customization that has been done?
IKEA is far more customized in terms of its design for the company websites, while ZARA has virtually no customization other than store locations and offering the site in different languages.
hy do you think this customization has been done? (Culture, market characteristics, competition, differences in customer Internet access, etc.)
Zara is a smaller and younger brand, and has not had the time to create slightly different approaches for different nations, while IKEA is more established. Also in the case of furniture, furniture must be more 'customized' to individual locations and regional preferences than one or two pieces of clothing. People are more likely to buy a single, daring coat than a sofa.
To what extent do you think these four eb sites are useful for marketing (as distinct from investor relations or…

BSITM Student Support Website
Design Document
In designing this website, I asked students and professors a number of questions. Since students and professors have a stake in the information available to students and outsiders via a school website, both should be involved in defining the site's goals. The questions asked were frustrated the students and faculty about the current website and what website they wish the department's website was like. I asked if a mobile version would be useful. I also asked if supplemental classroom materials (such as outside readings, lecture PowerPoints and videos, etc.) would be good to put on the website and if those materials should be available to the general public or just members of the school community?

Website Evaluation: Mayo Clinic
With the preponderance of misleading healthcare information on the Internet, it is important to become a discerning reader with strong science media literacy skills. The Mayo Clinic website has strong search engine optimization and arrives at or close to the top of Google searches for any health-related topic. Therefore, it is important to vet the Mayo Clinic website for strengths, weaknesses, and overall credibility.
The Mayo Clinic is an actual medical group, with clinics, hospitals, and research centers located throughout the United States. It is a credible source, and therefore an authoritative site in general. In a section of the Mayo Clinic website called “About This Site,” the authors (who refer to themselves as the Mayo Clinic Staff) explain their content development policy. Their content development policy effectively clarifies how the articles published on the Mayo Clinic website are written and edited, then developed for the web audience.…
Web Design
The proper procedure to design a website involves planning, innovation, and proper execution. The purpose of the website, along with its actual content, when melded together correctly, offers the visitor information and flexibility.
The first step a website innovator undertakes is to determine the audience of the website. Secondly, the innovator determines what the purpose of the website is. Although both of these steps seem simple, it is a crucial step. These two items need determined and defined clearly before further planning.
The goal of the site is the next determination. The website innovator decides what the goal of the site is. Website builders design sites to disseminate information. Other sites implement a design to sell or persuade, while others collect information from the visitor. Many times, the sites have multiple purposes, such as provide information and sell a product or service during the visit. (An example of a site designed…

The website is able to effectuate the transition from user activity to the classroom by using the Macromedia to visually accentuate the transition.
The use of web design to convey a message regarding the use, convenience, and service of the website is at the heart of proper design. "For organizations engaged in electronic business, the corporate website has emerged as the single most important interface through which transactions are carried out. This being so, appropriate design characteristics are required to make websites effective. Customers expect websites to be designed differently, depending on…

perfect Classroom Website
Various experts on Web design and creation state that the Internet provides the most accessible and innovative medium for education and classroom teaching purposes. Some claim that the Web offers a platform and a "perfect medium" for teachers. (Lord, 2004, p. 20) This view is echoed in numerous studies about the impact and the possibilities of new technologies like the Internet for education and the enhancement of classroom activities.
However, at the same time, pundits issue a warning that the availability of this technology alone is not sufficient in itself for the creation of a perfect classroom Website. They note that an understanding of the medium and how best to use the technology as it relates to good teaching and educational methods is the most important factor in creating the "perfect" educational Webpage.
This sentiment is echoed in the growing trend of recent research in computer-assisted language learning (CALL),…

Designing a eb Site
Technology is driving society at a pace unparalleled in history creating new attitudes, interrelationships, and global awareness. A new consumer is emerging. This consumer is not easily persuaded by clever graphics or manipulated by fads in design. The new consumer is educated as to his options, and will not settle for less than he feels his money is worth. In the past, a consumer was limited to geographical boarders as he developed purchasing decisions. Products and prices offered by merchants within a few mile radius of his home was the extent of his knowledge. Today a consumer can get information with the click of a mouse, and the buzz of a modem. He shops with a frame of reference formed by vendors across the street, and around the world.
In order to create a web site which is an effective tool for marketing information, product, or service, a…

A one stop destination is understood as a store that offers a complete range of complementary products. As an example, supermarkets are one stop stores as they allow their customers to purchase everything from food and detergents to power tools and clothes. Within the cosmetics industry, a one stop destination store would be one in which the customer can find anything for personal care, including deodorants, lipsticks, waxing products and so on. The http://www.ulta.co.uk / website is one which can be considered a one stop destination store and can as such offer benchmarking opportunities in the analysis of the bobbiebrown.co.uk website. As the bobbiebrown.co.uk website only sells makeup products, skincare items, fragrances and tools and accessories, it cannot be considered a one stop destination.

Web Design
For a few decades now, since the introduction of the Internet, the World Wide Web has become the most used form of information resource. Thousands of web sites owned by public and private sectors are currently accessible over the Internet. Aside from quick provision of information the World Wide Web provides, ease of accessibility is one of the factors that has made it a popular choice. One doesn't need to bother going to a library, whose accessibility is usually limited within an area, and find for the necessary information from large volumes of books. With the World Wide Web, the availability of Internet cafes almost everywhere, as well as the ownership of computers in many households these days, the accessibility of information has provided convenience to many users.
A group of people in the Internet community, however, was somehow not taken into account when most of the current existing web…

Website review: Tour America Direct (http://www.touramericadirect.co.uk/)
"The push towards networked information and communication technologies (ICT), combined with increased customer expectations, has put extraordinary pressure on the information-centric and service-based tourism industry to extend conventional distribution channels to include the Internet as a major new marketing channel" (Braun & Hollick 2006). Tour America Direct makes use of the Internet to advertise travel deals and packages to the United Kingdom consumer who wishes to travel to America. However, while finding deals on travel is likely to be an attractive proposition in these budget-oriented times, the website design is not conducive to encouraging surfers to purchase from its offerings.
When a website surfer enters the site, the user first encounters a popup asking him or her to talk to the website's live operators. While this might be an advantage for some users, the fact that it occurs so quickly makes the website…

Color, Usability
Design, Color, Usability and Image Basics
The purpose of this paper is to analyze two news and information sites: one related to travel and one is of food. The critical evaluation of both of the websites would help in determining what is likeable about them and what is not. The design, color and usability of both websites would be assessed as well.
Description of the Websites
The first selected website is related to travel naming "Kayak," which is considered as a reliable source for finding deals regarding flights, hotel rooms and car rentals (Kayak, n.d.). It is best known for its price deals and prediction about the trend of prices. An interesting feature on this website is that of "travel alerts" that lets the navigators receive email alerts of the upcoming deals. The UL of this website is: https://www.kayak.com/
The second selected website, "Food Tank" relates to specific, detailed information on food…

Translating complex functions into computer code is well outside of the capabilities of non-professionals.
Conversely, organizations whose websites do little besides help establish a searchable web presence to direct prospective customers to brick-and-mortar establishments, or whose websites need to support only a small variety of relatively simple, one-dimensional orders (such as quantity and color preferences of a small number of products) may very well be able to minimize the cost of web creation. Generally, they may still require information technology (IT) professionals to help them launch the website and create its most essential features. However, unlike business organizations that require highly sophisticated websites capable of supporting a large number and variety of complex functions, they may be able to purchase web creation services in an ad-hoc manner. For example, the organization may be capable of providing the artwork and logos in a form that only requires that they be translated…

Management
Effective Management for a ebsite
ebsites have become an important component of nearly any organization. The content can be provided to customers externally or to employees internally to provide critical information and keep them abreast of changes. However, the content and design of a website must be managed effectively so that the site can serve as an effective tool in communication. An accurate, well designed, and regularly updated website is one of the fastest ways to disseminate information among groups and it is a necessity for most organizations in a competitive landscape. Thus it is critical to study best practices and apply them to the website management function in an organization at all times. This analysis will describe some of the main duties in website management.
Perpetual Management
One of the best practices in website management is keeping the content relevant by actively updating on an on-going basis. One of the common…

Architectures for Websites
Designing Information Architectures for Websites
There are a myriad of approaches to defining and implementing information architectures, yet the most effective place a high priority on customer-driven goals and objectives. The more accurate and clear the goals and objectives of an information architecture are to customer needs, the greater the level of long-term performance (Spencer, 1985). The unifying attribute of any successful website is the information architecture deliberately designed to support short- and long-term goal attainment of customers first, and the organization hosting the site itself second. The relevancy of any website is also directly related to how permeable and flexible the information architecture is to change and modification as defined by the changing needs of customers. The goal of this analysis is to share the lessons learned as a result of discussions and interviews with friends and co-workers, aimed at generating a series of recommendations for existing…

Telecommunications Network
In an effort to provide better care for its patients, arises the need to design a network able to support a new multi-location dental care practice. In this report, we will provide a clear set of requirements for the network solution, and then identify the information that is to be protected as well as their related security requirements. Also, we will identify the types of network components, devices and equipment that would be involved in meeting the needs of the stationary offices and all four mobile dentists, and then we will provide a network design diagram that shows an appropriate network configuration to meet the requirements. Finally, we will explain the benefits of the proposed network solution, and identify the risks and risk mitigation strategies associated with the proposed network solution.
With five dental offices currently operating, we need to design a network that will integrate databases of all…

Food lust advertising design: Applying the concepts of 'luxuria' and 'chastity'
hen comparing cars such as Hummer and the Prius, the contrast between the two brand identities seems obvious. One is a large, gas-guzzling vehicle that denotes the purchaser's wealth. The Prius is a small, snub-nosed vehicle that apparently proclaims the user's interest in environmental sustainability. However, beneath the surface, there are even more complex issues about how the vehicles convey the user's class. The Prius is also an expensive car, after all. Chastity is not about low price -- it is an attitude.
hat constitutes 'luxuria' versus 'chastity' in marketing is even more complex with the marketing of items that have a very wide price range like food. Some products marketed as objects of 'luxuria' may be low-priced; some may be high-price. Some products marketed upon their 'chastity' may be more expensive than their 'luxuria' counterparts. The endy's Baconater is…

In its 'about' section, the World Bank advertises itself as helping countries "achieve sustainable growth by financing investment, mobilizing capital in international financial markets, and providing advisory services to businesses and governments." The World Bank advertises the 'success stories' that have been generated via its interventions on its website. However, for a thorough description of what it actually does, a website-surfer would have to look everywhere, given the presentation of the Bank as more of a charity vs. The lending institution that it actually is (which makes demands upon borrowers).

Online News
The website that I am evaluating is that of the Utica Observer-Dispatch: http://www.uticaod.com/
I chose this site because it represents what a lot of smaller town papers are capable of. They are not the NYT, nor do they reside behind a paywall like the Wall Street Journal, which on that basis alone might be the worst newspaper website in the world. You have to read it for it to be useful. The Utica Observer-Dispatch seeks to supplement the print edition of the paper with timely content.
First, the structure of the website is fairly basic for a newspaper site. The different sections of the paper are outlined at the top -- news, sports, entertainment, life, opinions, etc. Within these, there are sub-indices that make searching around the site a little bit easier. The stories are listed in columnar fashion, which is low-tech, a little bit old-fashioned, but a functional way…
Property Assessment Appeals (Canada)
Property assessment appeals in Canada
Orientation
Google 'Property Assessment Appeals in Canada' and one of the first links which appears is from Colliers International Property Tax Services. On its website, Colliers advertises itself as "dedicated to reducing the amount you pay for your property tax. e will review your commercial property tax assessment and help you appeal that assessment if it is too high" ("Property tax services," 2014). The motivation behind this website is clearly to advertise the services of the organization. People who feel that their property has been overvalued will likely be looking online for assistance. The website presents its information in a relatively objective and matter-of-fact manner. It hopes it may initially draw people simply looking for more information after they are unhappy with their assessment and then will turn to Colliers as a trusted source of data first and as a source of help second.

Egyptian Hieroglyphics and Other Ancient Symbols on 18th, 19th and 20th Century Surface Pattern Design and Their Influences on Contemporary Design
Hieroglyphics are a system of picture-writing, from the Greek, literally meaning "sacred carvings"; these symbols were used extensively on the walls of Egyptian tombs and temples, as well as columns and in written texts (Cavendish 1970). This paper will provide an analysis of the influence of Egyptian hieroglyphics and other ancient symbols on 18th, 19th and 20th century surface pattern design and their influences on contemporary design, taking account of the impact on design practice of digital techniques today. A discussion of designers from these periods illustrating their work will be followed by suggestions for critical analysis, and an examination of possible philosophical questions to be considered related to a future professional practice. A summary of the research will be provided in the conclusion.

INTENET-BASED MANUFACTUING SYSTEM.
Design internet-based manufacturing system for the oversea small manufacturing companies
Global competitions and rapid changes in the customers' requirements are forcing the manufacturing companies to adopt the Information Technology (IT) for the production and the configuration of manufacturing process. With the increase in demand for more specialized products, the traditional mode of production is no more capable to meet the customers' requirements. In the present competitive market environment, more customers are increasingly demanding for custom designed products within the short time. ecently, there have been rapid changes in the manufacturing paradigms where many manufacturing companies have started to adopt new enterprises strategy to remain competitive in the present international volatile markets. To be competitive in the present volatile markets, some organizations have started to adopt the concepts such as virtual enterprises, agile manufacturing etc. (Tian, Yin, & Taylor 2001). Virtual enterprises have become the most advanced and efficient…

Security at workplaces is not only the responsibility of the management, but all the parties in the premises. Therefore, it is important that everyone is involved one way or another in maintenance of security. In a company the size of Walter Widget, with 240 personnel, it can be challenging to maintain high security standards.
With the increasing nationwide crime against workplaces and businesses, the stakes in workplace security are high. Walter Widget must be concerned about theft of any kind including trade secrets, computer information and other resources. The firm needs to take necessary steps to prevent other security risks such as arson, vandalism and workplace violence.
Workplace crime affects production. According to Bressler (2007) businesses are prone to a wide variety of crimes and need to take action in prevention of criminal activities that influence profitability. Workplace crime affects the employees, because it results insecurity at work. Safety at work is…

Website Evaluation: Nolo.com
One of the biggest legal information clearinghouses online is the website Nolo.com. Based in the United States, and therefore mainly only applicable to that country, Nolo.com offers a wide range of informational articles and also links to law blogs. Additionally, Nolo.com promotes legal services with the ability for visitors to find a lawyer in their area. Nolo.com therefore combines educational, informational, and commercial services under one rubric. The confluence of information and commercial goals can be problematic, which is why it is important to thoroughly assess the credibility of this website.
The authority of the website can be determined by examining the “About Us” section, which also includes brief biographies of the Nolo staff and the editors of the website. In the “About Us” section, the organization also presents its mission as being directly related to helping ordinary individuals—and small businesses—to empower themselves with knowledge of “everyday legal and…
Web design
The principles of good web design revolve around a number of central core factors. One important central criterion in the development of the principles of effective web design is to fully understand crucial characteristics of the medium. Another central aspect is to base your design message on aim and communication. The first factor -- understanding the medium of the Internet - is an essential and often neglected factor in web design as will become evident in the discussion of the various principles. Secondly, it should always be remembered that, within the context of the specific medium, being able to communicate quickly and effectively with the viewer or client is what makes a good Web site effective. The intended purpose of the web site is also another cardinal feature that influences the principles of design as it is in the creative presentation that is determines its ultimate level of…

Designing a Website for a Non-Profit Organization Assignments: HopeTree
This document includes designing criteria and a proposal for a non-profit website which is offering services to assign volunteers. The suggested name for the website is "HopeTree" which is very easy to remember, and gives a good sense of the aim of the site. The target group is young adults who have grown into the browsing technology. Therefore, the networking services such as Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter will be the main tools to reach target audience. In this context, the usability and functionality of the prospective web page will be described with examples.
Nowadays, as a result of rapid growing online technologies, the internet is reachable to everyone. The reasonable price, bundled services with cable TV and telephone brought the internet to almost every house. Most people use internet to deal with their daily errands from submitting school assignments to entertainment. The…
Web Design
About a decade ago when the World Wide Web first launched, only the brave and commercial entrepreneurs established web sites. If they could not handle the HTML coding themselves, it was necessary to work with a web designer/graphic designer, who charged thousands of dollars. This was a new technology, so vendors charged a lot for their services. They were learning as they went, as well. Within a couple of years, thousands and then hundreds of thousands of organizations and individuals of all kinds started getting involved with the web. Soon the price of web sites started tumbling down, and now they are available for free by many services. Another change started occurring in most recent years, individuals began having their own personal sites on which they blogged, wrote articles about themselves and their feelings, interviewed others, and provided information about things that interested them. Social media is just an…

Poor ebsite -- Informal Memo
Purpose / Opening Statement
It is difficult to know how many new websites are being put up every day but clearly the numbers are enormous. Meanwhile, the purpose of this paper is to locate a spiritually-related website that needs changes; also, the purpose is to evaluate it. Hence, in advance it should be clear that when looking for a spiritually-related website on the Internet, a user wants a site that clearly spells out what it offers, is user-friendly as far as links and has an obvious informative purpose with credibility. In that regard, the website called "Constellation Seven" is among the most cluttered, confusing, prosaic and artistically disastrous to be found on the eb. This paper discusses this terrible website and suggests how it could be made better and more usable.

Ineffective Marketing to Prospective Vendor Members
The website does not present an effective message to potential advertisers capable of convincing them to advertise on the website. The middle section of the homepage is intended to appeal to prospective vendors but it is written from the point-of-view of the needs of Vendorland.ca instead of from the perspective of the needs of the prospective vendors. By contrast, the yellowpages.ca website immediately provides a prominent search engine feature that beckons consumers to enter terms of interest.
Meanwhile, the Vendorland.ca homepage does not even provide a basic search box. It requires web users to click links to search for a web search feature. The obvious consumer-oriented ease-of-use layout of yellowpages.ca serves a dual role: it encourages first-time users to try the search engine and it suggests to potential vendors that consumers will use the site to find them. Likewise, the advertisers' page of yellowpages.ca is extremely…

Limitations
Surveys are generally biased and have some shortfalls. This includes the fact of interviewer and interviewee bias where either may perceive the other in a certain way that influences response. Furthermore, context of mood and place may influence response too. The participants may be inadequately aware of their opinion or of their reason for their actions.
In a similar way, they may erroneously attribute their actions to certain intentions that are really contingent on a third issue that may be overt or covert, or concealed to them.
The researchers, in other words, were investigating whether the behavioral components of one place can effect the actions and decisions as well as quality…
Romantic and Modern Design Styles
Comparing the Ornate and the Natural: A Study of Two Theories of Design
History often dictates societal mentality more so than current climate, yet in times of peace, it seems that the beautiful and the artful flourish. This very concept is debatable, especially in interior design, where the fashions of the time very often have a much-felt impact upon design theories and the way in which they are carried out. Yet it is in history that one finds inspiration, or the contradiction thereof. For instance, during the mid to late 19th century, it was against history that romanticism was born. Yet in the early 20th century, immediately following this period of romanticism, it was out of a societal need for simplicity prior to the two Great ars that a more natural aesthetic was born, expressed so perfectly by the architect Frank Lloyd right. The following paragraphs will…

com -- only random links to sites that may or may not have a passing reference to HIV. There is no persuasive element whatsoever. True but Little Known Facts, however, attempts to be objective and its bullet by bullet approach has the style of a persuasive site -- but, again, because its points are ridiculous, its "minimum bias" and "objectivity" cannot be relied upon.
The content, on the other hand, of True but Little Known Facts appears to be moderately up-to-date, with sources from 2009, 2005, 2001, 1999, and 1993 -- but the sources themselves are incredible (Fybb R. Magee writes an article whose title, in a mix of French and German, can be roughly translated to mean "AIDS in the women and the man; making a hoax") and the documentation ("works sited" [sic]) is poor ("September2005" [sic]) cannot be trusted. The Tazo site requires its front page to focus solely on the topic of tea. This both simplifies and complicates the font requirements. The narrower focus makes it simpler to make font choices that are user friendly. The matter is however complicated by the challenge to keep the reader interested and intrigued by a single topic while visiting the Web site. This is a balance that Tazo has managed to accomplish remarkably well.
The name of the company, "Tazo," appears at the top of the page. It is written in white within a black frame. The font style is mystical, almost occult, suggesting that tea is a substance with magical connotations. This suggestion is fortified by the text on the main page, inviting the reader to examine tea leaves or spin the "Wheel o'Tazo." These are mystical activities, inviting the reader to explore tea as a substance that is more…

Many new eb designers produce eb pages that seem to ignore fundamental principles of "good design": full of colored backgrounds, animated pictures, multiple colors and styles of text, and little to no navigation or eb-based structure. Even in courses devoted to eb design, students still produce pages that lack unity, coherence and emphasis: "though they [students] seem to understand (and can critique) others' efforts, they're stymied when it's time for production. Few have the skills or experience writing in this medium" (Yancey & ickliff, 2001, p. 180). Similarly, individuals working on their own or working from documentation struggle with being able to create eb pages due to the same lack of experience writing on the eb.

Audience in Communication
Not all websites are written for a general audience. Some websites include technical information geared for professionals in their field. There are also a number of websites that aim to please both types of audiences: those who understand rich technical or scientific jargon and those who do not. This memorandum compares and contrasts two health information websites: WebMD and Drugs.com to illustrate the importance of audience when composing and presenting health-related information online.
Audience
The WebMD website is written for a general audience with limited understanding of science or low science literacy. To a degree, Drugs.com is also geared for a general audience, but the difference between these sites is that Drugs.com also has a section for professionals that can be used to make educated and evidence-based decisions about pharmacological treatments. There is, for example, a "Pro Edition" section of Drugs.com as well as detailed information about each drug listed…
Maybe even a special area of the website just for them where they could color in a sock and "print" it for a small fee and have it mailed to them? They would love that. Imagine how that would go over around the holidays too, creating socks for special occasions with your kids' artwork on them. It was be very popular I think.
The company has to move to a lighter, more fun-loving type of marketing too. The sock puppet is now the universal symbol of fun. And there is not a single sock puppet in their marketing. How dull is that? There could be more of a focus on "pin the sock on the puppet" games to find the nearest retailer, because today you cannot find that on their site. This is a website review for a premier international society called SIGCHI. The main purpose of the website is to bring together people from different locations who are interested in human-computer interaction. Human-computer interaction is mainly concerned in ensuring that computers and computer systems are accessible by people with disabilities. The website provides an avenue for members and non-members to get to know more about the society through the articles posted on its blog, community page and publications. It also provides an easy connection gateway via its email lists to other people who are involved in human-computer interaction around the world.
The website uses a consistent theme thus ensuring consistency in all the pages. With consistency the visitor will not be shocked and think they have…

What information was expected to be found and was not there expected to find much more on this site than is present today. To begin with, the SMS is a highly academically focused organization, and as a result its members are continually working on research projects, presenting papers, and also working through many academic calendars and teaching schedules. As a result of the richness of this research one would expect to find at least a trace of these materials on the site, and in fact there are none. This is disturbing. Further, the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and Strategic Management Journal aren't offered on a trial basis, and content is not even available from them. Instead there are links to subscribe to these publications. This makes the entire site look like an organization of academicians also promoting these two journals.

With the dynamic technological world, Web 2.0 since 2004 has been majorly associated with web applications that facilitate interoperability, interactive information, sharing, collaboration and user-centered design on the World Wide Web (About.com, 2011). Instances of 2.0 applications include web-based communities, hosted services, web applications, social-networking sites, video sharing sites, wikis, blogs, mashups and folksomnomies.
A Web 2.0 site is more interactive, it allows its users to interact with other users or to change website content, unlike the non-interactive websites where users are limited to the passive viewing of information that is provided to them. The CIO website is an integral part of this technology and utilizes it fully.
Appearance and target audience
The CIO website has been designed in an easy access display with the various pages quick access tools at the top of the page giving the user a friendly navigation options from the news, to videos or events, magazines,…

There are several ways through which the Northeast Ski as a company can help bring the warmth that is found thin their stores to the website ad have people feel the warmth as well. The first thing is that the website that they chose design should be professional and be professionally designed. This does not mean always formal, but clean looking and one that makes the visitors comfortable as soon as they click open the website. The aesthetics should be genuine with the actual details of the company availed so as to inspire trust and appeal to the people.
The second thing is that, the details that the clients would like to find on the website should be easy to access at the first sight of the website page open. The visitors should not have to go through so many pages in order to reach the information they are looking…

The website is sponsored by the Mayo Clinic, which is a not-for-profit health care entity that provides information to medical professionals, conducts research, and provides patient care, and is written by the Mayo Clinical Staff, a number of medical and research professionals. 3. The Mayo Clinic specializes in treating difficult health issues and is known for its groundbreaking treatments. This center is consistently placed as one of the best hospitals in the U.S. And devotes close to half of its resources to research. 4. branch of organizational design that I am going to investigate is participative management, which was an idea developed by Likert in the 1960s based on his observations of changes in the management techniques at the time.
Participative management was explained by enis Likert. At the University of Michigan, he started Michigan Survey esearch Center. In 1961 he published his New Patterns of Management that described participative management. He would elaborate on this theory quite a bit in later books, especially in 1966 and 1967. He had noticed that there was a new style of management that had arisen that was different from the old, authoritative style. Likert would then outlined four different types of participative management -- exploitive authoritative, benevolent authoritative, consultative, and participative group systems.
2b.
At the time, Likert's work was received well. He was successful in explaining a phenomenon that existed in the business world, so while some might…

Companies that do not choose to consider these options in their building design are losing out on some significant payouts from the government. They can also gain considerable tax incentives as well. However, there are still many companies in existence that refuse to jump on the wagon and realize the benefits of green design. This type of thinking demonstrates an antiquated philosophy regarding design work.
Conclusions
In recognition that the world must change its attitude and act in a way that will help to conserve our vital resources, the General Service Administration (GSA) has mandated that sustainable building techniques be used. According to these standards, the sustainable building will seek to Sustainable design principles include the ability to: optimize site potential, minimize non-renewable energy consumption, use environmentally preferable products, protect and conserve water, enhance indoor environmental quality, and optimize operational and maintenance practices. These government standards are a response to the…

instructional design models, including elements defining ways traditional methods encourage learner involvement. eferences required. A peer reviewed journal article, textbooks, and current journal articles credible websites.
Discuss the various instructional design models, including elements defining ways in which traditional methods encourage learner involvement.
The foundational instructional design model is called the 'ADDIE' model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. During the analysis (planning) phase, the designer identifies the "learning problem, the goals and objectives, the audience's needs, existing knowledge, and any other relevant characteristics. Analysis also considers the learning environment, any constraints, the delivery options, and the timeline for the project" (ADDIE Model, 2012, Learning Theories). During the design phase, learning objectives are further specified as the instructional plan takes shape. The development phase involves the actual creation of the content. The implementation phase is the execution of the instructional plan. During this execution phase, input is solicited from learners and…
