The fourth topic "The effect of bonus schemes on staff turnover rates in the countries in which my company operates" is a good topic, as long as the countries are specified. This topic relates directly to the Managing People course as it brings together two human resources fundamentals -- motivation and retention. Under that scenario the title would be something like "The effect of performance-based bonus schemes on turnover rates in the pharmaceutical industry: A latitudinal study across multiple nations."
The key to this paper will be finding the right company with which to partner, since you will need access to this data. The company may or may not wish to be named -- it might be easier to find willing partners if anonymity is guaranteed. Such a study would be excellent if it covered multiple regions of the world, providing insight to human resources managers as to the effectiveness of this type of motivation across many different cultures. This could even have strategic implications for the decisions about site location when a firm expands overseas.
