The health facility engages its entire staff in attempts to provide exceptional care and practice medicine.
According to the Institute of Medicine, some of the important rules for redesigning the 21st Century healthcare system include customization of care based on patients' values and needs and patients being regarded as the source of control over health care decisions affecting them ("Crossing the Quality Chasm," 2001).
