Women need to be considered, along with their male peers, important partners in the continued economic development of a country. It is also necessary to end any discriminatory practices against women in the workplace and further the ability of women business owners in both country and city locations by strengthening relationships among the traditional banks and intermediary financial organizations, as well as build legislative support, educational learning for women and institutional development with organizations with the end goal of mobilizing capital for such institutions and increasing credit availability.
More importantly, women need to become a part of the economic development process, itself, and look for ways that they can improve their situation over time. It cannot be left up to the men to determine how to improve the lot of women. This only perpetuates the hierarchal system that brought women to this lower level in the first place.
