Training and Development Employee Training and Development You have just been assigned a training event in your organization. Since the training event will consist of purely adults, explain the considerations you should take into account. Adult training requires taking into account situations which are more than likely occurring in their lives and how they are related to the work environment. According to Noe (2013) many organizations fail to take these views into account. This is because they will only utilize select practices sparingly and then cancel them.

As they do not fit within the organizational mindset and many people believe these procedures are ineffective. This hurts the ability of the company, to evolve with the challenges it faces inside a competitive operating environment. (Noe, 2013) To be more effective, all firms must introduce a proactive approach that will deal with possible challenges early and utilize their experiences to enable the organization to achieve critical objectives. While at the same time, they have to be capable of understanding and addressing key areas of resistance.

The basic idea is to encourage personnel to think creatively and have positive attitudes. In this case, the setting requires leaders toning down the intensity, openly discussing key issues and how to troubleshooting various challenges. These practices will result in the team working more effectively with each other. (Noe, 2013) However, many of these employees will have specific attitudes and practices they are embracing. This can create conflict with the organization, as these areas may not match the operating environment or help them to work with other employees.

This is problematic, as these differences will make it difficult to persuade others to follow specific examples. Instead, they feel disconnected and will not share any of their ideas and provide unsatisfactory results from their work. (Costen, 2011) To address these issues, employers need to focus on working on a number of areas in conjunction with each other. The most notable include: strong communication, problem solving, flexibility, objectivity and passion. This will inspire others and give them a sense of vision.

In any organization, these attributes allow adult employees to respond to the needs of those around them and encourage their colleagues to change their attitudes. (Noe, 2013) (Costen, 2011) These skills are developed by working with different individuals in a variety of settings. This teaches them how to interact and motivate individuals from numerous backgrounds. The insights leaned during this process, will help in working with a team or organization more effectively. In many ways, these are the attitudes they must possess in order to be successful.

(Noe, 2013) (Costen, 2011) Previously, views on adult employees were often seen as an individual having the mystical ability to influence the attitudes and beliefs of these individuals. This occurs based upon having certain genetic attributes which gave them these valuable skills. However, what they do not realize is that employee training is about how someone adapts and evolves with their environment. This is a radical shift from the status quo, by motivating everyone to go the extra mile.

While at the same time, they have a sense of humility and the capacity to troubleshoot.
