Ballmer Steve Ballmer, the director and chief executive officer at Microsoft Corporation, has contributed much towards the evolution of computers and computing power. The purpose of this essay is to examine Mr. Ballmer and his contributions towards this technological advancement which is known as computing. In this essay I'll give a brief biographical sketch of this individual and then describe his contributions and how they have significantly affected the industry and the world itself.

According to the Forbes.com profile, "Mr. Ballmer is 54 years old, has headed several Microsoft divisions during the past 30 years including operations, operating systems development sales and support." Steve Ballmer is known as a lively personality. His energetic leadership style seems to override his contributions towards computing industry, but nevertheless contextualize his experiences at Microsoft.

In Ballmer's early life, he grew up in Michigan and went to a private preparatory school and went to Harvard earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics and economics. While at Harvard, he met his soon-to-be partner Bill Gates. When Bill Gates, the owner and founder of Microsoft needs some help, he offered Ballmer a chance to own part of the company. The relative strength of Microsoft and its permanent fixture on business and education signifies how important and widespread influence bombers had not only in America, but throughout the world. Most computing systems run on Microsoft software and should not be ignored. Apple computers, Microsoft's main competitor, has disparaging comments directed towards Ballmer. Resinger noted that Ballmer's attitude would not play well at Apple do to the differing structures of the competing companies (n.p.).
Steven Ballmer's net worth is approximately $14.5 billion. He resides in Seattle Washington and is married with three children. He is currently on the board of Accenture Ltd. is currently titled Microsoft's chief executive officer and director. His salary is $670,000 per year and last year he earned that same amount in a bonus. His total compensation last year was $1,351,000.
