When he first arrived on the beach, he appears to be very frustrated with what is happening. This causes him to not take the time to set the box up properly. Instead, he simply laid it down in a very lax manner. ("Barton Fink OST," 2012)

Furthermore, the rumpled outfit he is wearing causes him to appear to be out of place in a location where most people do not dress like this. To support his demeanor, has the look of frustration, by staring aimlessly out to the ocean and passively watching everyone around him. This is not a location where he spends lots of time. He has pale colored skin, which is unwrinkled and of a white complexion. ("Barton Fink OST," 2012)

The contents of the box and the man appear to be a mystery. This is because he is sitting some place where he does not fit in and the body language he is using to...

These insights are not of an individual who is happy or relaxed. Instead, it is of someone who has tremendous amounts of uncertainty or stress which are impacting him. This makes his trip to the beach, one of reflection about his life and what events are transpiring to shape them. ("Barton Fink OST," 2012)
At the same time, the contents of the box are important enough that he will not have it leave his side. He also has taken the opportunity to place them inside a protective case. These images are of a person, who has a lot on his mind and came to the beach as way to reflect about what is happening (through starring out at the ocean). This is designed to help him clear his mind and gain perspective about the way different events are influencing him. ("Barton Fink OST," 2012)
