¶ … 2004, the X Tile and Flooring Company has provided its customers with outstanding quality and value. My father founded the company, and I have seen it grow and expand as I have worked in his employment. I am now assuming control over the company and have plans to expand and elaborate upon vision, raising X Tile and Flooring's products and services to a new level of excellence.
Our future plans include expanding our range of products. We are incorporating some of the most popular types of flooring into our offerings, including hardwood and laminates. Celebrity interior designer Tracy Murdock has joined our team of promoters to communicate our message to the public. Tracy and I recently staged an event to promote one of our luxury brands: the Versace Ceramic Design line. Other popular brands we have recently begun to carry include Kohler and BelAir Hardwood.
In the future, our company seeks to diversify its selection of European tiles. I am currently finishing my degree in marketing, and am studying abroad as part of my coursework. This will give me further exposure to the types of designs -- traditional and modern -- popular in Europe. My experiences and education will also foster my ability to do business with Europe, enabling me to make new connections with suppliers and generate new ideas.
As well as our flooring lines, we are expanding our fixture and furniture offerings. With the help of Luxe magazine I showcased an evening event for interior designers, builders, contractors and architects to promote our products and services. The catered champagne supper was designed to communicate the new luxury image of the company and create connections between the various businesspersons who will use our products in their work. We believe that our new branding efforts have already paid off, as we have seen an increase in purchases from customers from the Hollywood area who seek to bring our striking designs into their homes.
Reinvention is the key to succeeding in the design and home improvements field, and our personal connections, our willingness to seek out the new, and to re-imagine the old in a new way will be the keys to the company's success. Bringing in younger customers will be a core component of the social marketing campaign we are about to launch on Facebook and Twitter.
I am proud of the accomplishments of my father. However, I believe that my degree in business and consumer marketing can bring new life to the business, and transform it from a high-quality flooring company to a company that is synonymous with innovation, style, luxury, and class.
