People sometimes roll their eyes when I talk about this as it sounds like I want fame. My response is that $1.65 and fame will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Fame is worthless, it is actually an albatross. My ideal job would be one where I could pour myself completely into it and feel the satisfaction of how reporting, photographing and sharing insights from the remote corners of the world would somehow make people see that we all are really the same. Human conflict is human nature, and so is kindness. I would want my most well-known work to show that despite some families, some groups of people having nothing they were rich in kindness and that carried them through.
