They are all journal articles or doctoral dissertations that have been peer reviewed. All of the sources are published within the last five years. This author found a research topic by considering the experiences of colleagues who are veterans of years of service in emergency room environments. They have encountered similar problems before. While considering their anecdotal experiences in the formation of the research studies' structure, the research is meant to do systematic scholarly research to look into these issues more systematically.
