Jon Favreau's 2010 film Iron Man 2 discuses in regard to a typical American background in which an arrogant, yet selfless, individual turns into a superhero and saves the world. However, this person gradually discovers that there is much more to being a superhero than going to parties and enjoying the company of pleasant individuals. Even with the fact that Favreau adopted a rather common concept in making this motion picture, he was particularly successful in providing film enthusiasts with a picture that they longed for ever since they saw some of the first superhero-related films. The director actually managed to demonstrate that easy topics sell and that the general public is especially interested in seeing films that do not require much thought.

Even with the fact that it is a sequel, the film managed to draw significant attention as a result of its storyline and as a consequence of the clever acting put across by the individuals starring in it. It is very probable that most viewers are going to ignore its faults consequent to being captivated by its intriguing narrative.
While many are probable to consider that Iron Man 2 is nothing more than a cheesy superhero-centered film for younger audiences, the film also tackles more complex concepts and one is even likely to consider that it is meant to deal with some of the most important problems in the contemporary society. In addition to having to fight an apparently invincible Mickey Rourke, the film's protagonist also needs to fight an invisible enemy. Although most people are probable to ignore this aspect of the film, it is interesting to observe how Iron Man is human in character and is predisposed to typical flaws. During the first part of the film viewers are presented with a character that is confused regarding…

People in Iron Man 2 are actually very similar to real-life individuals, especially when considering their need for spectacle, their interest in risky activities, and their general inclination to act in disagreement with the moral code. Capitalism is perfectly exemplified through the character of Justin Hammer, considering the fact that this individual expresses no interest in the fact that he is cooperating with a criminal. Profits are one of the most important concepts in the contemporary society and by looking at things from this perspective it is actually possible to understand Hammer's thinking. By emphasizing the fact that behaving similar to Hammer is probable to desensitize a person, the film's producers intended to raise public awareness concerning the fact that many people are inclined to ignore the concept of morality when they are presented with the opportunity to achieve success.

In addition to the enjoyment associated with following the film's storyline, viewers can also observe more complex ideas being debated and criticized by the motion picture as a whole. Today's society is focused on material values and most people are willing to directly or indirectly cause harm to other individuals as long as they know that it is possible for them to earn profits from the enterprise. Hammer is the typical capitalist individual who has no interest in morality and who does not hesitate to break the law, endanger the world, and exploit individuals that he comes across.
