From there, Creon learns nothing from Oedipus's mistakes such as accusing people falsely and using poor judgment because he trusted no one who tried to help him even his own son. From this he loses everything that is important because he refuses to take any advice and comprise. Finally, he does learn that he has to be willing to admit his mistakes and correct them, which means he should not have repeated Oedipus' mistakes. From there, he speaks the following words after he realize he was wring in his actions of following Oedipus, "Great words, sprung from arrogance, are punished by great blows. (1351-2). Despite the fact Creon learns from his mistakes within Antigone as the king, he was a different character in each story because his perception changed through his horrible personal experience in Oedipus.
