It focuses mainly on the people living with disability in the workplace and the discrimination they encounter on a daily basis.

It brings out the present reality at the workplace in London, where there are several people with disabilities, but only a handful are hired compared to their colleagues with no disability. Therefore, the commission went out to engage the people living with disabilities, asking them about their aspirations and experiences in the workplace. This was with the goal of finding new solutions to eliminate discrimination against people with disabilities at any workplace.

Relation to class readings This article outlines the following: the evidence base, the scale of the challenge, why change is needed, the current picture of the workplace, and making a difference by opening up work, creating the perfect partnership-employment relationships. This has been addressed as seen in the recommendations that the Equality and Human Rights Commission gives to all employers at the conclusion of the article. It is evident that someone with a disability can be as productive as the other people are but any instance of discrimination can result in the drastic reduction of the same.
