Extra-Curricular Activities and Career Success Leadership is defined as a set of attitudes and skills, which can be practiced and learned at a very young age. Through community service activities, sports, and school clubs, the adolescents explore their strengths and learn how to make a difference on their parts. Several adolescents who have taken active part in the extracurricular activities have reported to have strong opportunities of leadership and a much greater voice in the process of decision making.

Different extracurricular activities have provided different success patterns in the adolescents; studies have suggested that those who were involved in the sports activities had positive results as compared to the ones who were not involved in organized activities (Hancock, Dyk, & Jones, 2012 ). An environment that involves learning increases student motivation, resulting in the increase in learning results. This shows an important relationship with the success in the beginning phases of the career of the graduate, which is influenced by their involvement in the extracurricular activities at school and university.

Human capital is defined as the knowledge and skills incorporated by a person through education that directly impacts their earnings and employment. Every person accomplishes a certain amount of human capital, which is influenced by training and education, resulting in occupational success. Curriculum is an important component, which affects the learning environment of the student. It ensures that the students are motivated to learn new things and get involved in the subject at hand.

A well-organized curriculum involves several activities, which not only enhances the skills and abilities of the students, but also helps them to achieve career success in the future (Vermeluen & Schmidt, 2008). Another study focused on the impact of academic performance, emotional intelligence and extracurricular activities of accounting major graduates on the result of their interviewing activities and the amount of jobs offered to them by the accounting firms.

The results of the study concluded that the amount of the beginning job interviews is impacted by both the participation level in the extracurricular activities and the academic performance; following the first interview, the second one is impacted by both the graduate's level of emotional intelligence and the amount of initial job interviews; and the amount of final job offers is impacted by both the initial and subsequent interviews as well as emotional intelligence of the graduate.

The outcome of the study also showed the importance of emotional intelligence of a student as well as the extracurricular activities, which enhance chances of job placements of the graduate in the firms. The study showed that in the second phase of the interview, it is not just the involvement in extracurricular activities that is of importance, but the experience gained and the development of skills, which would be helpful to the candidate in showcasing the desirable competencies and traits that are required by the firm.

For example, a student who highly participated in extracurricular activities and was a part of several school and university organizations would have more experience and skills to handle and discuss the situations, which require appropriate competencies during the first interview (CHIA, 2005). Experiences in colleges and schools can help the students to develop and grow their abilities, skills and knowledge for future success.

Several students achieve this opportunity by enrolling in college immediately after they graduate from schools while for the others, it is experienced later in their lives when they are preparing for their careers. The inside activities of the class help in understanding and learning certain objectives.
