Without acknowledging the other side of the argument, the researcher fails to provide a well rounded scope of the research material which would show his or her expertise within the area. Also, shooting down opposing arguments effectively answers many reader's negative opinions of any research material. If the author effectively acknowledges and disproves oozing views, he or she truly shows the well rounded and well developed aspect of their research. It also shows that the researcher has included his or herself within the pre-existing dialogue which was begun well before any literary student begins his or her own formations of argumentation.
