Shorts and capris will be featured items for the summer line and will have an edgy appearance to conform to the urban theme. Raggedy edges on the cuffs and patchwork as well as the occasional metallic hue will offer a subtle edge to the fashions. Smart sandals and walking shoes will complete the look for the summer line for both men and women. The music accompanying the summer section of the fashion show will be upbeat and danceable.
The fall line will emerge next and will include a delightful array of browns and grays with the occasional splash of bright pink or purple to relive the monotony. Textures will be far heavier than they were in the summer, easing into wools and silks for the cooler weather. Both men and women will feature scarves and I intend to show ensembles that are relatively simple and enhanced by an eye-catching scarf. Footwear will be boots of all shapes and sizes. At least...
Hats and scarves will be the focus of the winter demonstration. Some leather elements will also enhance the warm look and feel of the winter line, which will also use muted tones with some white here and there.
Whatever I cannot demonstrate visually I will explain verbally as best I can to convey my ideas. The presentation will conclude with the PowerPoint presentation that demonstrates my knowledge of merchandising. I will suggest which retailers the proposed lines of clothing might be suitable for, and how these items can or should be marketed. I may also briefly discuss issues like ways to cut costs by substituting cheaper fabrics where possible in the production phase.
