Prosecutors provide necessary support mechanisms and structures that identify, consider, and understand these needs. During this process, prosecutors sometimes work with victim advocacy groups to ensure the needs are effectively addressed. When working with these groups, prosecutors implement several tactics including creation of safety, showing empathy, managing expectations and feelings, and relieving guilt.
