But I also feel that the different topics have been approached in different settings and I felt uncomfortable with functions, especially the exponential and logarithmic functions which was a tough nut to crack. Is it because I failed to grasp, or because there was too much being rushed at a too fast pace so that the pickup was slow? I cannot tell. However I feel that the class could be made better by expanding the functions module some more and taking it from very basic level with more simple problems and then proceeding to complications. That is where I seem to have had lesser grasp. 3. Topics you have identified that you did not understand or were not successful in trying to implement and suggestions you may have about how to improve the course material on those topics.

The two modules I felt difficulty was in the linear regression model. I would suggest that the introduction to this concept be made from a very basic level and the progress in the subject is...

Likewise I have great difficulty in grasping the Exponential & Logarithmic Functions and these being connected with the functions; I think I may have to go further in understanding them. The material may also be changed to incorporate the way the student is made to understand the functions and for this I suggest that there be included a set of problems (both solved and unsolved) that starts at the basic and slowly progresses in complexity such that the practice can present better knowledge.
4. Ways you might measure the future effects of what you have learned in this course or your future progress/improvement

I appreciate that this course has given me a reorientation in math. I propose to pick out situations in daily life and business where I can use these formulas and other concepts learned. I shall make it a point to maintain a 'journal' of mathematics that will record my daily progress in the understanding of the subject.

Although many people state that they have math anxiety, quantifying the extent to which this can inhibit learning has proven challenging. In an attempt to do so, Shi & Liu (2016)’s study “Worrying Thoughts Limit Working Memory Capacity in Math Anxiety” hypothesized that individuals with higher levels of math anxiety would show poorer working level memory capacity performance when confronted with material with mathematical content, versus individuals with lower levels
