¶ … Judgment," a masterpiece by Michelangelo, as the name depicts is about the Day of Judgment and the concept of heaven and hell. Since Michelangelo was fascinated by human anatomy, the Last Judgment also highlights his interest in this field along with the actual theme of the work. Christ is the central figure of the fresco and is presented as a symbol that generates both fear and hope. The dead are rising to face the final judgment and the right and left arm depict the blessed and the damned respectively. The fresco was once seen as obscene and the church had some of its part repainted in order to cover what was considered vulgar and unworthy of a place in the Sistine Chapel. The Bible contains many references to the power of God as seen in His kingdom and numerous stories depict God's hand in the affairs of man on earth. The Old and New Testament are considered Holy Scriptures by Christians because they tend to focus on how many needs to handle his affairs in the Kingdom of God.

When we study the three works, we notice that it was the Christian music that could express its theme in the best and most direct manner. While Bible is considered the word of God, it has been altered over the years and hence it has become more muddled and confusing than it was…

Christian Artist: Michelangelo Michelangelo’s David (1501-1504) is an example of a work of sculpture by an artist who confessed Christianity and in fact took great pleasure in reading Scripture as well as other religious writings, such as those of Savonarola, a famous reformer in Italy (Vasari, 1998). The landscape diffuses in colors to give optical illusion of perspective and farness. The first figures, of the two children are softly modeled in lights and shades.
