CKDFramework The project's framework will be loosely based on Nola Pender's DOH model. Pender's model, as presented in 1996, was designed to look at how different "behavioral cognitions and competing demands on physical activity among Taiwanese adolescents" (Tsu-Yin, Pender, 2002, p. 26). Pender's 1996 study was designed to consider how cognition, environment and action all influence the individual's health promotion efforts.

The fundamental premise of the researcher is that the intervention will promote a positive reduction in the incidence of CKD in a certain population. The project will look at variables including; gender, age, and general physical fitness. Additionally, the project will consider the three different parts of the intervention; 1) a CKD screening, 2) a homoarginine screening, and 3) positive reinforcement education concerning CKD.
