Strategic Distance Learning Tactics A strategy for successful online learning in planning involves planning in an extremely comprehensive way. Specifically, then, it is necessary for students to analyze their syllabi and determine what exactly is required for them in terms of assignments. It is best to do so while considering any sort of final projects/assessments, as well as nightly assignments, particularly since online learning has increased exponentially (Elbeck and Mandernach, 2009).

The best strategy that one can employ for time management in an online learning environment is to denote specific days and times for when one will complete one's coursework. By setting a schedule to study, however, students are able to not only get their work done more efficiently, but also plan time for other important tasks in their life.

One of the most efficacious strategies for the use of technology in such learning involves utilizing mobile technologies. This way, students can still complete coursework and interact with other learning participants remotely.
The strategy for planning specific days and time for coursework can contribute to my success in online learning by segmenting my life into times to fulfill different tasks which helps with my overall organization. By demarcating these assignments on a calendar, one can use this strategy for success in online learning by knowing well in advance what requirements one has to keep so that one has plenty of time to prepare for them. Effective communication can contribute to my success in online learning because it will enable me to benefit from both my classmates and my instructor in addition to the learning materials -- such as scholarly articles (Chua and Bernardo II, 2011) -- that are implemented for didactic use. Technology contributes to online learning success in that it provisions the very means for this sort of learning process. Moreover, it can do so in a way that is convenient as well.
