Community health issues are mainly affected by the social status of an individual. To improve a community's health one will need to prioritize the community's health issues so as to have a firm base for their plan. This plan will allow the community to utilize properly its limited resources. From the Unnatural Causes transcript, some of the community health issues that affect people are unhealthy diets, smoking, lack of exercises, stress, poverty, unemployment, and education.

It is clear that people who eat healthy meals lead a more healthy life, but due to poverty, majority of people are not able to afford healthy meals, which cause them to purchase fast foods, which are cheaper and can feed more people California Newsreel, 2008.

Educating the family members of the dangers of fast foods would be a nice start to changing the diets of people. Though, healthy meals are more expensive compared to the fast foods showing them how the fast foods will affect them would enable them to change their diets. Exercising regularly could also be another way that the community can keep fit. Though they may not afford the healthy meals, taking a brisk walk or jogging in the evening or morning would enable them in maintaining their health and reduce some of the health issues California Newsreel, 2008()

Stress does affect everyone, and stress is good as it makes a person to be motivated, but when the pressures a person receives are increased, the person's systems begin to work overtime, and this causes the stress levels to be heightened California Newsreel, 2008.

A person should always try to maintain low stress levels. Educating the community on how to reduce their stress levels, would help them reduce the high rates of diseases and aging. The best way to relieve stress is exercising regularly and meditation. The work a person does would also contribute to their stress levels, an employee who does not have much control at their job. Learning how to cope with the lack of control would benefit this employee greatly as it would reduce their blood pressure, thus reducing the risk of them suffering from high blood pressure California Newsreel, 2008.

Employees who have more control are able to reduce their blood pressure especially when they sleep.

Individuals who have received education beyond high school have a higher mortality rate California Newsreel, 2008.

This is because they are more informed and are much better at getting good jobs. A community that is not well educated would result in higher mortality rates, which are mostly caused by poverty and lack of information. This is preventable because what this community would need is training on basic skills so that they can also get good jobs and manage to provide for themselves. , education allows an individual to be more optimistic regarding the future, which makes them lead a positive lifestyle. Lack of education causes misery and people who lead negative lifestyles. Therefore, training uneducated people to be optimistic in life is another way to tackle the community health issues. Showing them there is more to life will change their perspectives on life.
