Speech on Running for Office of President of United States
Ladies and gentlemen am so grateful to have been granted this fabulous opportunity to address you concerning the political issues on development of our country.
As a citizen Of United State of America I have been brought up since childhood in this wonderful state and I have experience all sort of Hardship and I Know what it takes for one to Achieve and call him a star. Like Martin Luther king Jr. I too have a dream, a dream of changing our country into a better place.
Ladies and gentlemen as we are all aware that our country has come to crossroads and now we have the power in our hands to change the political Landscape of America. As I have always said over and over again, if you will give me the opportunity to be your leader as the President of United State of America, there are several things I will do to ensure the major needs of every Citizen in America are met day in and day out across the land.
First of all, I plan on proposing a new legislation that will invest more tax dollars in our public hospitals, in order to reduce the cost of medicines making treatment and other health facilities free and available across the country, this will benefit a lot those with low income and also reduce the rate of infections and death. As we all know prevention is better than cure, it will also be knowledgeable to establish institutions and rehabilitations that will offer teaching and apply knowledge to people concerning their health and how to stay healthy. The Government will also ensure that the HIV/patients are given free medical care food and medicines as well as distributing condoms for free in all Governments clinics. Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory 19.4 (October 2009): 917
Ladies and Gentlemen I also plan on proposing a new legislation that will invest more tax Dollars in our public Schools, not only to meet the needs of today, but also encouraging developing minds for the future, as we have to do all our plans starting from the roots of development which is education. New funding would be used to hire and retain good teachers build and renovate schools, stationeries and give tax breaks to teachers. To accomplish this I am proposing in increasing new taxes, but rather a rechanneling of our existing tax revenue to meet the demands. I know parents for over the years have been talking about this and the end product they are given a cold shoulder with little progress on Educations sector in order to avoid complains, but now I promise that am going to do everything on my power to end this.
Third as the president of this country am going to establish incisive means of creating employment, this will be accomplished by passing legislation which will keep aside money intended to create employments in order to save the youths from engaging in criminal acts i:e robbery, drug addict and prostitution. Also the money will fund those interested in starting their own Businesses.
Ladies and gentlemen I know that most of you are thinking of economic development, because of our downtown area .for over the years economic prosperity has been neglected by current government leaders and just a few have shown their concern on the economic sector. I plan to change all this and make it the major standing factor in our country. I also propose a city centre revitalization project that would promote new businesses, new open green areas to bring people to the heart of our city and new businesses, as our current leaders have allowed our city to die due to corruption and embezzlement of funds which is supposed to improve such sectors.
And fifth I am proposing on development of transportation in order to reduce traffic congestion during peak hours, time is money and by doing this will be saving lot of time. Therefore I am proposing the construction of a light rail train system which is to be place in the next decade; that is all this will only happen if you allow me to, by making me your president through voting. Improvement in transportation industry will benefit the people as it will meet the growing demands of better and more efficient transportation in future generation to come. My opponent and their administration have lacked the vision of long-term solutions, preferring to take a look and see approach. We should not allow such people to led us as they don't consider the need of future generations, our children, grandchildren, you see my generation doesn't want to be remembered for a road we build but for more visionary transportation system for our future (Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, 2009)
