To determine the facts about this disorder, the purpose of this paper is to review the relevant peer-reviewed literature concerning the intricate aspects of acute and chronic pyelonephritis, providing a comprehensive overview of the disease’s pathophysiology as well as genetic and genomic influences. In addition, a discussion concerning the clinical presentation, diagnostic approaches, and available treatments currently used for pyelonephritis is followed by a summary of the findings that emerged from the juried literature.
